Thank you both!
I am short of loot (80 coins) and I really have no idea where to look. I used Unknown Object to get out of the town. I guess it is the end, right?
So many great missions these days! You, dromedites, are great!

Fantastic mission so far, too bad it's so laggy. EP + ddfix + widescreen might be the reason.
You have 2 options:-
1. re-install the WS patch but set the FOV to 80%
or
2. uninstall the WS patch.

I dont know if this classed as an easter egg, but look for a
keg of exploisive in a accessable roof area and youll see what I mean :ebil: I didnt spot it till very late in the testing..

Biker found a way to improve performance involving the widescreen patch so i'll try to put together the details and post them here...but that may or may not be pertinent to ravoll.
Bassically, the lag most people will be getting down to the WS patch. HB has pushed dromed to the limits and the engine cant deal with that and the WS patch.
The fix is to re-install the WS but set the
FOV to no more than 80%:cheeky:

I never even tried to kill the 'Dark Zone' types; maybe someone else found a way.
The tree beast monsters can onle be knocked out, they are like zombies if you get to close to them :ebil:

1. There's apparently no rope arrows.
2. 95% of the surfaces can't be mantled. Either there's pipes intentionally placed in the way or the ability is simply broken/removed. What good is Garrett when he's stuck on the ground?
3. Invisible barriers everywhere. In some cases, this (combined with not being able to mantle) makes crate stacking pretty much useless. Also, getting stuck in what looks like a clear space is very frustrating.
4. New uses for items and no readable to inform the player, in this case tinderbox flares.
.
1/2/3 - Unfortunatly this had to be done, because the mission was close the limits, letting players get to certain areas would cause the game to CTD.
4 - you have to use the flare in one area of the map, which you have already found - so whats the prob..?

A big thank you to Dussander for his beta forum that was absolutely amazing for testing.
You're very welcome, just send me a message when you're ready to test your next mission!

Really enjoying this mission, the atmosphere and exploration are great. There's a genuine scare factor everywhere, I'm extremely careful walking around every corner, not many FMs have that kind of a grip over the player. An intriguing story too, and I'm probably not even half way through yet.
However, it does seem wrong though that people should have to disable/reinstall their widescreen patch, especially when probably 80% of monitors these days are in this category. It seems like this could have been avoided. I've got a fairly powerful PC, less than 6 months old, and I'm getting stuttering.
Still a great mission though, probably one of the best over the past couple of years. Can't wait to get back to it tonite.
