I am short of loot (80 coins) and I really have no idea where to look. I used
Unknown Object to get out of the town. I guess it is the end, right?
Did you found the loot in
the shed outside town, before the mountain?
MrMunkeepants on 2/11/2009 at 20:38
I'm under the mountain, down the rope, at the end of the first hallway: that thing on the balcony has super hearing! I can't even open the door to that hall without him coming back to search, let alone cross or get close enough to kill him!
woo! I just ran myself out of the city followed by a whole horde of things! and not in the end movie, either, in game!
very creepy, many chills, I hated every minute of it - but in a good way ;)
never did find anything about a ring, though

Today I am going to get started on a performance patch so hopefully this will give those who currently cannot play the mission a chance to experience Eclipsed. The gameplay will be slightly altered for AI factors, and the visuals will be heavily reduced in terms of vegetation. This should not take long and I will post a link to download it on the main page as well as when it's ready here.

Finished this today. (Expert) I really dug this thing. Suspense and terror along with a beautiful map and some nice puzzles.
the hanging men puzzle was a bit tough as i had an idea of what I needed to do but couldn't be sure I actually doing it so a few points off there. I finished the mission before I finished to loot hunt (about 150 short) so a few points off for that. I missed about 600 in total...man I must have missed a whole area or something.:o
But none of that's a big deal.
SlyFoxx says 9 out of 10!

Well, I've just started playing this release, and I have to say that between the atmosphere, that wooden raspy/dragging noise and this:

My babies ! They ran away from the dark zone ! :laff:
I'm already on the edge of my seat, and I haven't even left the first room yet.
Unfortunately I am also encountering drag, and choppy FPS, just in the first few minutes of the mission. As I'm not using any enhancement packs or ddfix widescreen or anything, hopefully it won't get much worse, as I very much want to fully enjoy this mission in what I can already tell will be it's full terrifying glory. :ebil:
Well, steeling myself, I'm off to actually go through the rest of the first house.
Edit:
Good god, I haven't felt this much dread since Ink & Dust. Awesome. :thumb:

Thanks for the tip MrMunkeepants :thumb:.
Another question. How do I blow up the teddies/landmines in the kid's room, without getting myself killed? I tried throwing crates at them, flares, and shooting arrows, but they won't blow up unless I walk on them.
Now, for the lagging, I tried installing the widescreen patch and setting the fov to 80 which helped a bit, but it's still quite choppy :erm:.

The teddies in the "kids" room are in a box and won't blow up at all. They are to be picked up and go into your inventory as part of your arsenal. The teddies on the floor in the main room downstairs will blow up if you walk near them so try jumping on the tables instead.

Yeah, sorry. I thought the main room was actually the kid's room :o. Thanks
Tannar on 3/11/2009 at 06:59
Actually, I don't think the "kids" room is really a kids room either. I think it belongs to Riley Hansen, the crazy old guy who made all the traps in old town.
