Finally finished after running around for 5 1/2 hrs. I just thought I had killed all those things in town. HA! To finish this Great FM, one must have eyes on top of their head as well as in back.:thumb: I could never have finished without the use of Closed Doors and my BJ. and all you taffers on the forum. I loved the puzzles and the scary atmosphere. I'll be waiting for more like this.
Thanxs,
Hope Vincent:cool::p:)

Thanks for the fun mission HipBreaker.
The abundance of crates meant that I eneded up in many places that I shouldn't have. Fun!

Great! I'm glad to hear it. I hope those who had serious issues with the lagging haven't given up and will now download the FPS fix.

Finally finished this FM, what a great ride. In particular I loved all the readables and the optional objectives, and the exploration element. Ghosting was a blast. I do have some questions on the plot though, which confused me quite a few times:
First of all, the ending seemed very "UnGarrettlike." He may be a Thief, but intentionally unleashing demons on The City? Not the Garrett I know.
Also, I can't understand why Garrett, A) even went up into the mountain pass at all, and B) collected all the artifacts knowing they would open the demon's portal. His goal was to rob the town and get out, and none of the above things needed to be done to reach that goal.
Last, it seems silly that the whole town was locked up tight, gates on all sides, yet Garrett could just waltz in via the swamps from the south side of the town. What he really should have done was just rob the town and the left the same way he came in, no demons necessary!
It's likely I missed/forgot something, I've been playing this FM on and off for the last couple of days and it all kind of just blurs together now, but some things just didn't seem to make sense.

I just want to say thank you so much HipBreaker. The fix has done the trick. I am on my way to the electric station to overide the west gate. The mission is running tons better. This is definitely playable now. Not all mission developers would go to this length to help players with older machines. I just want you to know that your efforts are greatly appreciated. :thumb::angel:

cardia1 - you need to get into the building where the front door is guarded by an electrified gate (west from that door is a generator behind a fence you need to switch off). Once in that building the readables & a secret switch should lead you to what you need.
Brethren - I agree with at least your point about "Ungarrettlike" behaviour; after all, he'd have to continue to deal with them as well in the future - & surely they're more difficult than bluecoats or Mechanists. Then again, maybe this is (hopefully) setting up for a sequel?

Please let me know if the framerate is improved or if I need to try something else. Keep in mind the mission is still using hi-res textures and some areas of town are still going to have slowdown.
I don't know - the download isn't working for me.
