Ok I finally finished this mindblowing mission :D, but there's one puzzle I couldn't figure out. Where do I find the key to get into the City Watch station?

When you exit the underground area through the portal, you find yourself in a small room with a table. There is a cobweb hanging from the ceiling with a skeletal arm and hand. The key is in the hand.

I replayed this mission in the past two days, and it's brilliant. I enjoyed the unique setting (ruined city with palm trees and tropical plants is first class!). The story is a story of manners, maybe, and I read sadly that there won't be a sequel. I hope - at least - that Hipbreaker will make more FMs in the future!
I only didn't like the mountain section - i lost my fear there. And - honestly - when I played this for the first time at our lonely summer cottage with an EAX card, and saw the hanged man near the musicbox - it was gloomy enough, in the good way!
NICE ONE!

I agree, this mission is fantastic! I can't wait to re-play it on Halloween.

I loved it too. One of the few FMs that genuinely had me on the edge of my seat. I especially like the ending.
Most FMs portray Garrett's every-man-for-himself mentality as necessary and justified, even enlightened. In Eclipsed, it has terrible, shocking consequences. Garrett shows no remorse, nor compassion for the victims. Chilly...

I just love the atmosphere in this FM. I was reminded of it while playing Silent Hill 2 for the first time, a few weeks ago. Funny thing though, there were alot of enemies in SH2.

Is there a (compiled) walkthrough for this?
Tannar on 10/1/2011 at 01:25
As far as I know there is no walkthrough. There is a lootlist though.

I also think that the mission title could have a secondary meaning, that Garrett himself, or his mind is eclipsed too, because he only sees treasure, no matter what the consequences are.
