Hi, been trying without success to download the Flying Age. Crashes after 15%. Is it possible to get the missions as individual files? Or perhaps someone would be kind enough to email me the zip file (may or may not work, I know).
cheers
KellyG

Thanks Sterlino, problem was at this end - router problem. All sorted. What can I say about your mission pack that hasn't been said? You've breathed new life into Garret by giving him wings to play with! Fantastic mission design, attention to detail and multiple imaginative uses of what's available, as well as amazing new scripts and objects. LOVE THE PLANES! Most fun I've had with a set of thief missions since 7 Sisters and Way of the Sword. I really hope that there will be more to this wonderful story line even if the Keepeers have packed the technology away just so I can play some more with the planes.

Sterlino, as you manipulated the Dark Engine to make flight possible, and even an in-game weapons store (Horns of Canzo,) I wonder...
AI that can pursue Garrett up and down ladders and ropes, or mantle ledges.
AI that regain consciousness after being blackjacked or gassed, and then come after Garrett or alert other AI. Garrett might need a countdown wristwatch to estimate when his victims are due to wake up!
How about a screwdriver so that Garrett can pop the cover of an electric wall lamp and unscrew or disable it?
How about a booze arrow that gets AI drunk, or at least lowers their alertness?
I could go on and on - if it can be done, Sterlino, I believe you could make it happen!

after working to Hoc2 and Flying age i can say this:
there are a lot of things yet possible with the dromed.. and it would be exciting to do that... but honestly the time for Thief2 is come.
We can play it yet ..again and again.. on and on.. but is not the same of a fresh interactive experience that it was the first time that i saw thief on a pc.
What we need is a new updated platform... the engine and the features of thief2 are very too old now.
I thought about it when i realized (i am actully working to complete hoc2) that i would to create another fan-mission. One never did.. a CLASSIC thief's mission.
At the same time i understood that it would be a waste of time simple because a classic thief's mission is only an illusion to re-create the original feeeling of 'the very first time'.
Sadly, this is my thought.:p
don't read up there if you don't like a bad/pessimistic point of view.. :cheeky:

I understand completely. Wouldn't it be grand if Thief could be faithfully rendered on an open source kind of engine? Better graphics, less limitations...The only objection I have is the way really great games get ruined. The game interface, which is a great deal of the reason people like a game tends to get tinkered with until it barely resemble the original in gameplay!
I loved the game BLOOD, but BLOOD II killed it. Deus Ex had a great interface, but poor graphics. Deus Ex II was terrible, because instead of fixing what was needed, they messed up the System Shock II type interface. While I enjoyed Thief III, it would have been so much better if they left what was good alone, and just upgraded the graphics and AI if they wanted to improve on Thief I and II.
