It's wonderful to see all the new & creative things you taffers dream up. I am amazed. And, I look forward to seeing more flying missions. The hot air balloon idea sounds really neat. :thumb:

For those of you having trouble with the start of Mission 1, the particular version of gen.osm included in the zip is needed.
Forget that the mission notes say "Warning - this mission uses the latest version of gen.osm."
It doesn't really mean that (I think). It means that it needs a particular version of gen.osm.
The mission notes go on to say "Check the file in your main Thief2 folder - it should be ''gen.osm 420kb 27/03/2000''. If it isn't, extract the gen.osm file from the mission pack into your main Thief2 folder."
My version of gen.osm was dated 7/18/2000 (in European that would be 18/07/2000). Clearly that date is after the date of the file provided, and should be a more recent version than the one provided. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I don't know, but whatever the case, it does not work for this mission.
So, let me be clear: use the version of gen.osm provided and (maybe) you'll be able to progress with the missions. At least that worked for me so far.
All I know is that I found this increadibly frustrating until I reluctantly replaced my gen.osm with the one in the zip. I don't know if this will cause problems with other missions. Only time will tell.

Btw has anyone ghosted this yet? I imagine mission 2 to be hard, if not impossible.
I have just posted the results of my ghosting attempts for this campaign at the Eidos (
http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=47700) Ghost/Perfect Thief Results, on page 9 of the current thread. Please note that in that discussion, spoiler tags are not used. For these missions, I did not tip very much, but be warned anyhow.
In summary, my results were mixed:
Mission 1: Ghosted, I guess. I did not see any alerts. But I think the issue is moot. There isn't much to the mission.
Mission 2: Ghosted. A real challenge, and one of the most fun missions that I have had the experience of ghosting.
Mission 3: Failed by TKO. Forget about
the alarms going of and possibly alerting guards when you are locked in the room. The real issue is
being forced to break something to complete the mission. That is a clear violation of the (
http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=30310) Official Ghost Rules. Up to that point, the ghosting had been successful.
Mission 4: Ghosted, I guess.
Since there are no AIs, ghosting just isn't an issue.Mission 5: Ghosted.
But the mission is trivial. More of a bridge to the finale in mission 6. Mission 6: Ghosted cleanly
without completing the optional objective of all KOs. And questionably ghosted with that objective. You'll have to read the full ghosting report to understand that one.THANK YOU STERLINO!

Finally got to play this mini-campaign. Certainly a very novel campaign with a different feel - the flying machines were pretty impressive, even though I was getting pretty frustrated at the beginning of mission 3.
I have one (pretty trivial) question, however. On the first floor of the Zeta One, there are two portraits (one between the bar and the toilet, another on the opposite side after the guest rooms) that look like 19th century photographs. Both men look annoyingly familiar - especially the one with a bushy beard - but I'm not sure who they are. They remind me of figures from the US Civil War, but I could be wrong. Anyone recognize them?
