:weird: i cant frob the lever on the airplane in the second mission!
after i start the plane and it works I cant frob the lever this is so weird
i did not open the hangar door thats why the plane wont take off! slow idiot i am!

I may have an issue here...
Early on in mission 2, I blackjacked what I believe was this maniac servant; he turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared. I didn't think too much about it at the time, but now that I've discovered that I need him to complete an objective, I'm a bit concerned.
This is gonna require a "restart" isn't it? :erg:

WOW!! :eek: Just finished, what a tremendous mission! Getting to construct the flying machines was uber cool! Getting to fly them was even cooler! :cool: I hated to see it come to an end.

OK. I read every page, and either missed it or have a "bug". I'm running version 1.18.
In boarding the Zeta, I made it to the platform. The first time I just flew into the side of the ship, jumped to a hanging anchor and, of course, was stuck until I starved to death.
The next time, I turned left and made it to the platform (mantled onto the wing on the right and jumped from there.
I, like everyone else frobbed the hatch. Hah!
I then frobbed and discarded, in order the Sandbag, the first anchor. I then looked at the second anchor (furthest aft), and jumped at it. When I was in the air it highlighted, I frobbed it, "Found a secret") and we both went sky diving.
I now find that no matter how I try bobbing and weaving, leaning or whatever, I can't make that second anchor highlight to frob it. I know that should do something when I do frob, but so far all I have learned is to skydive.
Without a chute, that does make me somewhat of a compacted thief when I hit the ground.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You need to be on the small wing area at the rear area of Zeta One; just right of the two anchors. You should be able to walk to the tip of the wing and lean to frob the anchor on the left. The rest will probably become clear after that.

Exactly what I did. No maneuvar of crouch, lean, bob and weave will highlight that rearmost anchor.
I can move right up to the very edge of the angled edge, or the very tip of the retangular extension nearest the blimp and that anchor will NOT highlight.
If I jump toward it it will... while I am in the air, but not from any angle I've managed on either edge of the platform.
I expect that if it does, and it looks like not, a chain will drop and I can jump and climb it.
I may have to download the entire thing again. I may have a busted copy.
Believe me, I've tried every possible contortion I can make Garrett do to "lean" enough to highlight it from both the retangular extension and the edge nearest the blimp and the anchor.
But thanks. I'm about to download a new copy. After 2 hours of learning to skydive I've had it. :)

I have a problem staring this FM: When I click 'New Game' it crashes, seems I can't get the intro movie to work. Anybody has any idea what to do?

You could probably just watch the movies in your windows movie player instead.
If an intro movie gives you trouble, you can safely delete or move it from your Thief\Movies subfolder. The mission should then start normally without the movies.

Speeking as computer noob: your main thief folder or the fan mission itself?
