ok iv seen a lot of stuff here about "selecting the key in your inventory" but exactly how do you do that? iv looked in the items section of the gear screen, but it says "no quest items". i have all 3 keys i just cant select them?

If you have set the [ and ] keys to cycle through the inventory then use these keys to select the keys. Good luck! :thumb:

Absolutely agree with fraten. :thumb: Great mission indeed!
The level desing, the story... Beautifully done.
I liked a lot that hammer haunts woke up. I liked the way you kill the nobleman. I liked the way the lights change.But we need more... Why do most of you, talented guys, make one single TDS FM and after that you chuck making more mission?
thank you
some years ago i builded large TDS mission. It was about haunted mines with many puzzles with broken electric generator etc... but my HDD crashed. After it i lost motivation and last 2 years I play rFactor (race simulator) in czech league

I'm so sorry about that. It is truly very bad to lose an important data, a work, that you've put your soul in it.
However, past is past, just enjoy your life. Thanks, for enjoying me with The Crypt!

)that William Gates tombstone = HILARIOUS! PRICELESS!
one thing tho that i DON'T like much, having to go down into an undead fest with no frikin gear to speak of, like a few flashbombs and holy waters, and maybe a coupla fire arrows!
(i know u find those 2 measly flashs in beginning, and it took BOTH of em to take out the first 2 brain eaters, now i am again helpless against all the rest of em!)don't mind ghosting, but prefer to mix it up w takin out the shamblers too!

"How to keep a Hammer Haunt and a zombie amused for all eternity", by Garrett's Shadow:
first u get yur but into the dark corner where the magician starts up the first stairs, then, as he turns, u swipe his wand!, now that he's powerless u r free to show yurself to him!
when u do he runs up to u and simply stares at u (it's all he can do now that u took away his only power!), then u run all the way up to the top of the stairs, he will follow u, open the gate.
run in and hide in the shadows. make sure the magician is hot on yur tail, a zombie and a Haunt (or maybe just the Haunt or a couple of Haunts, depends on who's near), will see the magician if u hide only where there's nuff shadow for u!
they will then promptly attack the magician!, and of course "kill" him, and being an undead himself, the magician will "re-animate" every few secs, and those attacking him will just stay there and attack him and "kill" him again, and again, and again, ad infinitum!!!

Creating an FM is a difficult and time-consuming project. I started making one but I quit because I wasn't able to sacrifice so much time. That experience made me gain an incredible amount of respect and gratitude for the people who make FMs. Anybody who has made more than one FM is amazing.

Just finished this mission (100% loot), outstanding! I wish there were more from this author. Full-sized mission in the same setting would be a mind-blower for sure.

Stats:
* Expert difficulty
* 40 minutes
* 100% loot
* 1 hint needed
Elements I liked:
* I felt a sense of accomplishment when I got the last piece of loot.
* The chain of puzzles needed to complete the mission is well put together.
* There is an exciting scripted sequence towards the end: You kill the undead lord and all the magical torches go out, then relight with normal, extinguishable flames. Additionally, Hammer Haunts spawn in.
* Ambient music is used effectively to build atmosphere.
* There are many journals to read which together form a cohesive narrative.
* After you complete the mission, it exits to the title screen. This is the first T3 fan mission I have played that does not load a mission from the original game after it ends.
* There is a map! Well, kind of.
* The video at the end was a nice touch, despite the low image quality.
Elements that could be improved:
* The mission contains a mandatory hidden switch. It is always a bit disappointing when I can't complete a mission without hints because I missed a hidden switch, as was the case with The Crypt.
* The Downwinder leader in T1 was called "Reuben". In The Crypt, his name is consistently misspelled as "Rueben".
* "Rueben" is writing a journal while he is being assaulted by Hammerites. This is silly.
* With spaces this cramped, the margin for player error is low. I had to reload many times because I got discovered.
* Like in other Thief fan missions, the gravestones reference people from pop culture. For me, this is always an immersion breaker.
* Why do the undead yawn and stretch? Why do they threaten you with their first when you climbed to a place they can't reach? Some of their animations look a bit out of place.
* Some of the journals are a bit too long for my taste and the poem you find at the beginning feels unnecessary. During betatesting, I would have argued in favour of some trimming of the readables.
Bug:
* I encountered the same bug as in other T3 fan missions I played: I could collect items that were locked inside a chest without opening it by right-clicking around it.
Hint needed:
* I missed the switch that opens the bookshelf.
