I have a query, I can't find Blue Rose (in all its versions) in Garrettloader. It identifies all the other T3 fms, but not this one. I have downloaded Blue Rose several times from different sources, and still the same problem. I am using Garrettloader v1.41, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Hello again,
finally made that jump off the ladder to find the Glyph letter. This was very difficult for me. But now: where is Eric's Hammer? Is it also at Eric's place? Can't find it. Help please.
Thanks and greetings
Urumo

Eric's Hammer
His must be looked for in the Forbidden Library. Bottom hours. Pull the statue and jump into the wall

Try to put the game without using Garrettloader

Thanks Savar, but here I reveal the depths of my ignorance - how do I start the game without GL? Is there an .exe file in the zip file?

I am merely guessing since I have never heard of such a problem, but
- did you add the folder in the config where you placed the mission ?
- if you have many missions in GL, maybe move away some of them and see if this helps
- in case your Explorer is hiding file-extensions by default, try to rename it and make sure it ends with .zip and has no blanks in the name
- move the zip it to another folder (that has no blanks) where GL
does find some missions
- remove all missionfolders from GL and re-add them
- in case GL has a problem analyzing a mission, then there should be some sort of notice about this problem somewhere in GL.
I think it should show up right when you start GL.
If it does not show up, then click on the 'Deadly Shadows' icon in the tool bar on the left of the screen (right above the Help, Hammer and Config icon)
What does it say ?
- Check the 'debug.log' file that gets created when starting GL in its install-folder
Any hint in there ?
- Jesus, don't know - maybe reinstall GL ?

:joke: Thanks gnartsch, I've already tried some of the above, but I'll check the debug.log file and if not - try and find out how to play this mission without using GL.

You can skip GarrettLoader. Steps in detail:
1) uninstall the game and delete both its folders (with the game and with saves). Also you may check the register for mistakes.
2) install TDS again, but the pass to it should have NO SPACES (for example, "D:\GAMES\Thief3\")
3) patch the game to version 1.1 (if you need it, of case). The patch is here (thanks to The Dark Fate): (
http://darkfate.ru/?show=files%2Fpatches%2Fthief3%2Ftds_patch_1.1.rar)
4) replace the exe-files with files from here (thanks to The Dark Fate): (
http://darkfate.ru/?show=files%2Ffan-missions%2Fneedful_stuff%2Ft3main.exe_and_t3.exe.7z)
5) run the game, load the inn and make a save.
6) unpack the mission strait into the game's folder and add the content of the file "user_patch.ini" into the file "user.ini" manually (it's in the main folder).
7) start the game by pressing the exe-file named "t3.exe" (it is into ...\System subfolder).
If the game still doesn't launch (sometimes it happens with Win7 and Vista), do the following:
a) download this launcher from (
http://darkfate.ru/?show=files/editors/t3ed/tools/thief3launcher.zip)
Un-pack the zip-file and run the Thief3Launcher.exe
b) in the row for "Thief 3 Path:" show the pass to your game's folder. And in the row for "Gamesys:" (if the launcher didn't find it already) show the pass to subfolder System (in the game's main folder), file named "T3Gamesys.t3u"
c) press the "Activate Thief 3", then - "Launch Thief 3". Usually, you don't need to run the launcher any more. But if pressing "t3.exe" still doesn't works, you may always run the game from the launcher by pressing "Launch Thief 3".
ADDED LATER:
Forgot to say! Self-evident advantage of this method is avoiding many types of bugs. But this method has it's weak point too: you'll have to re-install TDS every time for installing next fan-mission. I mean, GarrettLoader is created to take care about this problem without bothering you. But by skipping GL you'll have to think about such things by yourself. It's easy: all you need to do is simply to repeat actions - all the steps from number 1 to 7 once again.
