I'm afraid I have to agree with Csimbi on the Loot Glint :( I'm not a big fan of it, but it is the only way to tell the difference between Loot and Trash. It's a little frustrating haveing to either save befor I pick anything up (reloading if it's trash,) or having to wander off half the time to find a safe place to put the trash down without alerting anybody. I've never been able to put something down silently.
The only problem I see is that you seem to have turned it off in the map file itself, and not by using one of the universal Loot Glint removal methods (I've found 2 ways of doing it, altering the partlootglint entry of KERNAL_GFXALL.ibt file, and patching the T3Main.exe file.) If you did it in the map, then I can see that changing it would require rebuilding a large chunk of the map (going to every piece of loot in the editor and changing it.) I could be wrong, but if I'm not, then it is a little too much work for me to ask it of you.
I haven't finished it yet, the load/save ratio is extremely high, but it looks awesome so far. I'm a little disapointed to read in previous posts that I may have to "assassinate" someone later in the mission, and I hope that is an optional objective. But asside from those 2 issues I like it so far. I also liked The Keeper and The Hotel, and look forward to Secret Room.

Ok, finished this one and The Secret Room now. Don't like assassin objectives, but they are optional (just don't read the books that create the objective.) I still don't like the lack of glint, someone mentioned that the textures look different on loot from trash, but that isn't always the case. At least not that I can see on my system. But, your mission & your choice :) Anyways, I love the series and what you've done. Can't wait to try Veil of Deceit.

Lack of light is by design. This creates the effect of reality.

In reality you can feel the weight of the object, see a glint even from the smallest source of light and you can put objects down silently.
Other than that, it was great.

If you don't want to use glint, you can always choose some specularity or emissive mask that would make the object stand out from the clutter a bit. You just have to make sure it's not too obvious, a reward for perceptive players.

What key combination do you have to use to jump off the ladder to get to the ledge? I'm using a default keyboard setup but no matter what I can't get him to jump to the ledge.

I just climbed up to just below where the area gets smaller and jump while pushing and looking right. It took a lot of trys, but I finaly got it. If there is a simpler way, I hope somebody posts it.:thumb::angel:
