Having a lot of fun to go through :thumb:
I finished all objectivies except loot (91% - 95% required on expert). I wonder where I missed something...
I opened chest in one room with walking zombie but didn't find a way to closed room with another zombie.
Sequel is definitely must be:)
No, you can't get to the other zombie, it was put there only to create spooky atmosphere and justify this frantic knocking - playing in surround sound in the middle of the night is not recomended ;)
As for the lootlist (not sure whether its everything):
Special Items: Quigsley's dagger - in his chamber, under the bed, Quigsley's olde wine - in the zombie room, tunnels, access through a small grate on the left wall.
Market: about 3 purses to be stolen - the cook, the merchant and the keeper woman in the last (red) room; 2 coin piles - merchant in the first room and woman selling fishes in the second room.
Quigsley's chamber - everything's like on a plate, exept the dagger (under the bed) and 3 goblets (on the right, bookcase near the door).
Tunnels - A goblet on the crate opposite the table (put behind the pot or sth like that); a mirror - nearby that poor dead lady, which zombie likes so much :cheeky:
Park - easy thing: a book on the Quigsley's bench and two valuable things nearby (one on and one under the bench to be exact).
Yup, this one was just a warmup, I have to get familiar with 3dsmax a little bit more, I've already written down the storyline, looks like a small trilogy to me :)

Oh and the easter eggs!:D
Quotes - actually song lyrics I found related to the theme:
"No conscience. One motive. To cater to the hollow. Screaming..."; "Falling all around In cycles and circles. Constantly consuming. Conquer and devour" - A Perfect Circle - "The Hollow"
"Now we’re busy making all our busy plans, on foundations built to last. But nothing fades as fast as the future and nothing clings like the past, until we can see." - Peter Gabriel - "More than this"
"Come with me to the Baltia Isle - northern father’s western child, where the dance of ages is playing still." - Jethro Tull - "Acres wild", with "Winged Isle" changed to "Baltia".
Ferroll Darts - "Funds" is actually Carl Marx's opus magnum. :cheeky: I tried to find a passage similar to the Hammerite way of thinking, thus I think Mechanist would fit in here better, as they put more pressure on industrial developement. ;)

Judith, just started your mission and all I've done for the last half-hour is look around at the beautiful textures- wow! wow! (double wow)... 'nuther for good measure- wow!
tinRobot on 25/3/2006 at 09:23
I'm in the
park
, and can't finish the mission.
I realise from reading this thread that I'm supposed to
read
the
letter
on the
bench
, but when I do, it just comes up as being 'loot', and gets added to my total.
Am I missing something?
btw, nice level. love the town, but really want to be able to explore some of those buildings and rooftops...

Thank you, Judith, for some uniquely interesting T3 FM experiences.:thumb:
And the best way that I found to approach that "crowded market" was to practice maximum Ghosting and patience, while observing 2, 3 or more guard-patterns by using the third-person view. (In fact, I got so wrapped-up in "watching patterns" that I completely forgot about that very needed "piece" at the very last table, my first time through!) :joke:
Plus those spooky settings and creepy inhabitants, were
most excellent! And btw, Judith, I did manage to actually take-care of those rough blokes, along with that wizard fellow, before they escaped with the "prize". (But, I suspect that your game really didn't appreciate that sort of "creative ending", so it refused to end with my "un-planned scenario". Oh well, I just had to go for it, you know.)
Thanks for the Fun!... Jim ...

Hello,
I am from Gemany, and I have problems with reading the briefings. I have the German Version of Thief3-Deadly Shadows, and the briefings and Scrolls will not be shown. I can only read: "Book xxx NOT translated into Geman". Can anybody please help me? How can I read the books and briefings and scrolls? Do I have to install Thief3 in English-Language? Thanks for your help!!!!

Hello again,
I've reinstalled the game in english-language, and now I can read the briefings. But the objectives - there are only some small quadrats at the beginning of each objective...anyone who can help?
And I've got he same problem like tinRobot, cannot finish the mission because the book is in the loot-list and I cannot read it.
Thanks
Kerstin

Yes, it's my fault :) I was a little newbie with the scripting and I thought the timing would be right (it's random, in fact). I'm aware that the ending is a little bit weird and somewhat forced, it won't happen in the future, I promise :) Actually the sequel takes place in a big forest, and you'll have much bigger freedom of choice. I plan something like freelancing (a few different locations to visit/loot) and, at the same time, leading the player towards completion of the main goal.
