Um, yes and no in this case. You can render quite complicated things with this engine, yet you have to remember a few things. First general rule is: multiple lights kill performance, badly. In my projects I try not to force player to look at more than 3 lights at once, and it's ok. The same goes for the real time shadows, only really necessary objects should have this feature, not all of them.
Using multiple lights that overlap causes a performance hit, as does having lights with a large radius, if I recall correctly. People working with the Doom 3 engine need to be aware of the same things. (
http://www.ttlg.com/wiki/index.php?title=Performance_Tips) Null wrote up some tips a while back that are worth keeping in mind.

Тем приятнее, что до такого сюрреализма ни один создатель FM для TDS раньше не додумался. Я в восторге! :thumb:

Ok, let everyone hear it :)
I just said that I'm very pleased as this is the first TDS mission that looks and feels so surrealistic :p
Oh and Sluggs! You've made two mistakes in the first word Nevermind :p

I'm usually at least average at puzzles, but I'm stumped at the very beginning of this mission.
I'm still stuck in the bedchamber...
I have found three buttons: two opened chests (one contains a hammer, the other a head in a jar... yecch), and one caused books to appear floating over the little platforms.
I've found two keys: Key From Floor and Key From Shelf. None of the keys (or the hammer or the head) help me open the other three chests. Frobbing the books does nothing. Frobbing the books with the keys, the hammer, or the head activated does nothing.
I feel like a complete doofus. What huge, obvious thing have I missed? (I know it's huge and obvious because I am the... only... one to have missed it!)
Thanks,
Dafydd
