You won't enter it from there. As long as we don't know which keys you already collected and in which rooms you've already been, it's hard to say. You just have to get them all and return to previously locked doors. And did you already...
...do the balcony thing?
I got every key (except the one for this door) and have entered every room (even Cabot's study room, which is to be entered by
the secret passage. The balcony-room is one floor below and already investigated.
I just missed the key to this very door.
Edit: Found it! The missing key was
in a bookshelf on the gallery above the main entrance of the house.
This is great mission! Thank you people for keeping Thief alive by making fan missions!
Some said that it's too dark. But I don't think so. I played it at CRT monitor 30% brightness and 90% contrast in a dark room. The game's brightness level is default - 6. I have no problems with dark areas.
I ghosted through the whole mission. I like ghosting! It makes the adrenaline rush through my veins. None felt my presence. I used only one water arrow. I don't like killing or blackjacking people, because what's the fun in running in an empty house?
I enjoyed the surroundings. This mission contains so many beautiful places. Every detail, every single item is in place and suits perfectly.
The kitchen's balcony, for example gives a nice view of the inner garden and the other balcony.
It gives you a clue what to do next. The design of the mansion is great. At first, there are so many locked doors and the architecture of the building is very unique so you should have a good visual memory to locate these doors later. The timing of guards routes is wonderful. Some places looks perfectly guarded and you think that there is no way to pass them. But when you observe carefully you can find the guards mistakes. It is good that there are notes that give clues. Some of them tells funny stories.
The jump from the window is a nice idea.
Finding keys was a real fun for me.
I missed the ambient sounds. That's the only negative by my opinion. But The Cabot deserves excellent mark in the aggregate.
I finished it at Normal 69% loot. I checked all obvious places. But
later maybe I'll make it 100%.
Thank you again, Flux. You are great!

At the moment, it seems like it isn't possible to get more than 71%.

That will be fixed when the translated versions are released.

Oh boy! :) I've been playing on hardest...so is there no chance to finish this mission at all? (need at least 90% of loots)
...and I'm getting crazy about keys...I've already put the book to the table of Anderson or Andersen or so...but where the hell is that wine??? Should I go back to Cabot's Mansion??? :)

Where do you usually store a special vintage?
