T3 Mission: Evicted Feb. 15/06 - by nomad of the pacific

All right, I found two special loot items; I'm pretty sure they're the necklace in the safe and the Necromancer's Wand on the altar of the cathedral (playing on Expert with version 1.1, I'm pretty sure.)
I also got the special hammer, but that doesn't appear to be a special loot item... just loot.
So I, too, am looking for the third loot item. Any clues, Nomad?
I think I'll go off and kill the landlord now. Maybe I'll find something in his room.

the Hammer is just worth gold....I have the same special loot items you have.....still looking for the 3 special loot item.....
Dafydd on 18/3/2006 at 01:19
And I'm still looking for the third loot item! I have 75% of the loot and I've completed every task but loot and that last special loot item. This is driving me nuts.
I thought maybe there would be something special with the landlord, but not that I could find. A tiny bit of loot. And there was some loot in the restaurant (which I hadn't been in until now), but nothing to speak of.
I think I've been in every enterable building, all through the cathedral, the inn and the apartment area... what am I missing?
I rounded up about 2700 worth of loot; if that's 75%, then there must be another 900 lying about, waiting to be grabbed. But where? Even if the special loot item is 150 or 200, which is what they usually seem to be, that still wouldn't put me over the top. I need another 540 to graduate. Help!
I hope it's not scattered in little 5g coins hidden behind gigantic sacks of grain or dirt that need to be repeatedly rammed to knock them over....

Well, this will be the last time I place special loot without a clue! Sorry all. :p
Standing in the wind, Grass betwixt his toes.
As the monk walks by, up the wall he goes.
Thru the semi-celetial gate's the home
of the seemingly elusive tome.
Thanks, Nomad; I found the last special loot -- but I'm still only at 83%!
I hate to do it, but I guess it's time to start bashing everybody and going on a mad loot hunt. Sigh.
Edit: All right, I think I've knocked out all the guards and Hammers, or nearly all of them. Say, here's something funny: I darted from the grassy patio with the stream on the cathedral grounds into the gearhouse. When I got in there, I heard the Hammerite guard with the torch bellowing and shouting. As I hid in the shadows, he charged up to the guy working on the gears and such, accused him of being a heretic, and smashed him to pulp with his hammer!
I just crouched there and stared. What the heck?
After killing the Hammerite worker, the Hammerite guard strolled out and back to patrol! (At least until I KO'ed him a few moments later.) Is he supposed to do that?
He wasn't even chasing me; he went in the gearhouse before I did. There was nobody in there but the Hammerite worker -- and the guard just mashed him. Yecch.
In any case, the guards are (mostly) out of the way now... so if I could get some hints to get the 7% loot that I need to finish this furshlugginer mission? I just need the 7% solution....

That's more or lass what i missing.
Maybe you could say later were you found those loot?
Great FM Nomad,thanks.
I just love it!

I think the Hammer Worker was heretical in that he was friendly to Garrett. It's not something I programmed in, but I was aware of it. I just didn't bother fixing it because I didn't think it was worth it.
I'm not sure what loot you're missing, but some of the better hid items
were in the grocer (small amount) and a couple pieces in the warehouse. Also, another item hidden similar to the last special loot.
Dafydd on 18/3/2006 at 23:11
Thanks, Nomad; I found the loot in the warehouse (boy, that took a lot of grunting), but I can't find the one in the grocer to save my life! Unless I already got it a while back and just don't remember. Can you be more specific? I shoved every box in there all over the place and don't even see a gleaming. (I had already found the loot in the other room "between the floors" in the cathedral.)
I'm at 87%, so I think I need just over 100g.
Is there anything in the park besides a couple of people with purses to pick? Anything in the restaurant besides the obvious? Is there anywhere in the apartments that we might not think to look? There is evidently a lot of loot still lying about, but I can't find any of it. It's very frustrating.
Instead of moss arrows, I wish the only store in town sold water arrows. Those at least would have been useful.

Hmm. If you need 100 gp, the loot I mentioned earlier won't help much. Anyhow, to see it you must go up and look down. You can't see it from the floor.
Did you
search the floor under the house?
Check out
some of the rooms in the hotel.
There's also
three loot in the bar, one in the kitchen and one in the storeroom behind the kitchen,
but they were pretty obvious, so you probably got them.

Nomad, I was finally able to finish; I found a Horn of Bafford, or whatever it's called, in one of the other "between floors" rooms in the cathedral.
This gave me just 90%, and I was able to flee through the sewers.
But I sure couldn't figure out what you meant by "the floor under the house." One of the sewer ladders leads to a cellar of some sort -- oddly, it has no ladder or stairway to go up from there -- but I only found something trivial in there, I can't remember what... a cup? Is that what you were referring to?
I'm pretty sure I already got the other loot items you mentioned. In any case, I've finished... though I still would like to know where the last 10% of the loot lies!
