I had a rather humorous, if painful for the cat, occurrence last night while playing Deadly Shadows. While in the Abysmal Gale, I had entered a room and heard a zombie. I looked behind me, but nothing was there. The sounds got considerably louder. I turned back around and
THERE IT WAS! It chose that particular moment to make an especially loud outburst.
Nearly jumping out of my skin, I somehow got Garrett out of the room. My wife also gasped in surprise. And our poor cat, who had been sitting in her lap, launched herself in a random direction...
headfirst into a closet door.
The cat had been looking at the screen at the time.
While zombies do occasionally add interest to a mission, they can be rather scary.
Any other humorous animal + Thief stories?
(It should be noted that the cat is fine.)

Whenever I'm playing games, my cat will hop up onto my lap because I usually sit indian style (my chair has no arms). She's so fat that her body sinks into the crevices in my legs, and apparently she's real comfortable like that.
So I'm sitting there playing one of the zombie infested FM's (cant recall the name), when I hear a haunt's chains. The cat hears it too, her ears perk up and she starts meowing. She keeps going on as long as the chains are rattling and when the haunt gets out of earshot, the cat stops. It was real funny.

my kitten Dillon loves to jump on the keyboard when I'm Dromeding, and make it crash in new and spectacular ways. :laff:
Unfortunately, the thing that fascinates him the most is investigating the computer fan...

When Silent Hill 3 was just a day old, I played it (on PS2) long into the night. Pitch dark, wife asleep in the bedroom. I was completely immersed and scared half-to-death when all of the sudden ..... OMG SOMETHING LEAPS ON MY HEAD! It was my ferret. All I could do was laugh. I guess the wife forgot to put it in it's cage before retiring.
