Just thought I'd mention that apparantly, Thief DS is sooooo good at being thiefy and all, that it can even hide its savegames from me and the laptop vista OS! Now that's what I call impressive!
Alright, being serious now: this is a problem which I'm investigating further upon (anyone got a clue?)
I'll be throwing everything thiefy DSy from my laptop in the following days, and make a reinstall. Should I solve this, I'll post the solution (I need to implement downloaded savegames to be able to progress, as I can't get into the kurshok citadel at all - the glyph doesn't work)
Yes, my computer goes standard with 'show invisible files' so it's not that issue, I think.....
It's a strange thing and if I'm the only one.... well that's just peach.

So you can't find the saves.
They are in the My Document folder.

Is the GLYPH "Active", as in bright blue, and is that your next, mission, as stated in the objectives list?
And as said above:
My Documents, Thief Deadly Shadows, Savegames

To answer the questions:
A. there is a save games file in my documents, but there is only the launcher file there, telling me the transition from starting game, to menu, to load/start new and then giving control to the engine.
B. Yes, Citadel was the next mission, and the glyph was glowing blue, indicating I could 'use' it. But I couldn't.
So far, it also seems to remember savegames from two de-installs ago.
A strange case.... which might be solved some day. I don't know how though.

Y'know, I've tried to think of a single more asinine default/unchangeable setting in any single piece of software that I've ever owned...and I just can't.

I think I have a realy good question for you AerisNoir. A bether than all before. How in the Builder's name were you able to run Thief DS under vista?!
As for your issue TDS savegame do get corrupted sometimes, but I think that's not the case. In vista, which directory do you search for the savegames? Try looking around user/appdata as well.

I have no troubles running it in Vista, and the 64 bit version at that. The savegames can be found in this directory:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Thief - Deadly Shadows\SaveGames

@Dan.... I installed it...
I've checked with my desktop to see if my disk was corrupt since it's hard for me to let something strange as this rest. Desktop gave me a fully visible savegames file at the documents folder, just as it should.
I'll be returning to my laptop (a duo core vista) tonight for more tests. I'll be looking at the location you gave me, Abdallah, though I might have been there many times before.
If it doesn't work, I'll place the blame with Vista OS.
