I'll save you all the trouble of going over there. Here is the OP in this thread.
If there were to be a T4 Expansion Disc what would you like to see it contain?
The reason I pose this question is that while everybody broadly wants "a superior stealth game in the style of T2", there is still debate about how that should be achieved. Is there anything an expansion could add that need not be in the original?
I was going to make a poll but decided detail is the key here.
Would you want an expansion to be*....
A, 8 new missions continuing the T4 story
B, 8 new missions with a new "mini-story"
C, 8 new individual missions
D, 8 new missions with a new character or "create-a-character".
E, 5 new missions and an editor
F, 1 Mission "The City" All of it! (Either "freeroam" or a giant 1 level narrative)
Now added to that, any "extra feature"? Multiplayer, Co-Op, Freeroam, Pvp, Against the clock, or any other feature that alters the Thief experience, but keeping it to an expansion seperates it from the main game?
Finally, any "extra content"? Interviews, Artwork, Soundtrack etc
*I've plucked these numbers out of the air so feel free to alter your choices as you so desire. I know I've only put "an editor" as one choice, if you can justify it any other context that's not a problem.
I just wanted to know what people here thought of this. Personally I think its ridiculous to start talking expansion discs for a game that isn't even out for a variety of reasons. I think people are either getting bored or inpatient for info.

...and my wife says I have a little "premature" problem.
What does she know anyway?

Fuck the expansion topic, let's talk about that.

There is a lot of nonsense going on over there. I suggest everyone here sign up and curb the flow of bad ideas.

Yes... no nonsense ever happens here.

How about we collect all of the terrible ideas from the forums and turn them into an FM which is a ghost-train style ride through all of the worst scenarios, acted out by shoddy wax puppets while a comically sinister narrator chuckles mockingly in a booming voice between bastardized Builder verses?

I can only take the Eidos Thief 4 forum in small doses. I learned that this summer after spending three weeks reading through a lot of those threads until I just got sick of it; all of the speculation, wishful thinking, and intense (or sometimes mindless) discussion of irrelevant issues. Yet a number of members there post daily.
To be fair, some of the debate and dialogue is interesting, but I personally will not be enthused about Thief 4 until I see the "Thi4f" t-shirts removed from the EM store website.
I agree with Subjective Effect that it's pointless to talk about expansions right now. However, until the FAQ is updated, a screenshot is released, or any real T4 information is relayed to us, what else is there to do except indulge in fantasies?
Incidentally, I'll play the game and select choice E: 5 new missions and an editor. An editor is a must and I would rather have fewer excellently designed and inspired missions than a huge quantity of mediocre ones, which seems probable if the expansion needed to have an exoribant eight new missions. I would just hope that EM could adhere to tradition and produce a Thief 4 Gold, not a cliched expansion pack that promises new weapons, items, and 10-15 hours of gameplay.

Yeah, it's truly totally pointless to discuss anything at all, including Thiaf. We're not getting anything out of it, compelled as we are to keep typing away anyhow.
But apparently we're bored and lying to ourselves about the pointlessness.:laff:
End of discussion.
