Love this one ......gorgeous doors, etc.
And I've read Jonesy's diary............but I still don't know how
to destroy the codex .........since I can't find it !!!!!!??
Everything else is checked off...........love the dagger's voice.
And how come I can bj. the purple mage but not the other one?
Any help greatly appreciated.:)
The codex should be
floating in a cloud of magical particles above the precursor's heads. (Sort of like the key was earlier)

the endless frobbing in the mages room....duh!....I spent ages going round every inch....even frobbing around the door...opening and closing...all the roof beams..as I knew the mask was in there, and I could see the panel in the corner.. but had to give up and come here for the exact location...Bah!That ruined it for me.
I experienced exactly the same problem in an otherwise superb mission. :(

Nice mission, great design, really classic experience - but mostly for FMs not original games (short story, small area but big world to save). I also had problems to find and frob switch in room with hammerite to get sun mask. Would say it is hard but possible to find if thoroughly searched.
I'm missing about 250 in loot:(
[Minutes later]: ha, got 2222 in loots (i.e. still missing 178) :)
[Seconds later]: hooray, found enough (forgot hammerite note about folly - masks in main hall).

RT.......I can't seem to find a " cloud of magical particles "
anywhere  , but I thank you for your answer :) ,
and I shall continue looking.

The codex should be right there, in the library, floating above mask stands. (It looks like a trickster book)

I can't believe I didn't look up high enough !!!:o
I went back.........and there it was.........floating up high !!!!
I really liked this entry, and wanted to finish it.
Thanks again :D

This is very good mission. I especially like smart layout of rooms and mansion's architecture, all this stone arches and lot of stairs. I also like the way that author shows outside of the building from time to time (view for dome, big ceiling window showing sky and moon). Visuality is very good, and plot (revealing new objectives and with surprising twists at some points) is even better. Maybe not so much of thiefy gameplay (no bow at all so no rope, moss or other special arrows to use - or maybe I just didn't find them?), but much opportunities to stealth instead. In my opinion it is strong contest entry.

Missed only 100 loot by initial finish....this was after having found a several pieces of loot that could be rather easily missed. Frankly, I've really gotten too good at this (but practice makes perfect I suppose).
Anyway, the remaining loot was rather out in the open, it was the moneybox on top of the bed near the stairs to the basement...I had raced past there to the servants so fast I completely missed that loot until I went back and searched around. Sometimes it just seems that the last loot is the one more out in the open than not.
Excellent little mission....it definitely gets my vote for story, architecture, and just in-general.
