Got the same 'bug' as smithpd - after destroying the Codex, went for a late loot scrounge, but when I found the ring on the windowsill I got "objective complete" & the mission ended.
Still, an excellent mission :thumb: - particularly liked the gameplay; with so many lengthy AI paths, you really had to think through your moves.

Could someone please help me. I can't find the dagger, nor will any of the statues talk (none are frobbable), I've read Jonesy's diary. Great mission, but I seem to be at an impass.

You will find the dagger in a chest in the basement barracks. You will need the captain's key to open the chest. That key is on the guard standing at the top of the stairs to the third floor.

the floating book? Oh yeah, I'm supposed to make the dagger holy first, how do I go about doing that? Ah, wait a minute the holy water in the room with the sun mask... Is that what that was for?
Yepp, that did it :)
Excellent mission !!!

I really liked this mission! Perhaps not as imaginative as 'The Affairs of Wizards' but still very fun. Found all the loot. :) Will Ghost it next.

Fantastic FM! This one has a master's touch to it - nice double-cross - a really classic Thief feel in terms of the plot and the way the story unfolds! This is my favorite so far, though I still have two left to go!
EDIT: Finished all the entries, this one is STILL my favorite (AFFAIRS OF WIZARDS is a close CLOSE second, and FALLING DOWN would be my third.

I encountered that bug as well. I hid first, then went back to knocked out one of the mages, things settled down. Coast was clear, with one mage on my left. I stood up on the pedestal and destroyed the book, game ended. I'll consider it finished, since the only objective was to leave. Nice mission, too bad about the bug though, and that chime in the library drove me nuts. Other wise good mission.
