OK, dang it! Where is the second switch, I usually can locate the darn things, but for some reason, I'm overlooking it.:grr:

Just finished this one. A surprisingly fun mission, considering I don't like to ghost. Finding the switches was a bit of a problem, but I've always sucked at switch-hunting. Also I couldn't see that the sleeping guard in the attic was carrying a key. I would have never found that if I hadn't looked at this thread.
I was left wondering about one thing, though. In the lord's bedroom, a couple of times I heard a distant noble's voice saying things like "Is there someone there?" or "These old buildings make too much noise", but could never figure out where they were coming from. As near as I could tell, there were no nobles in the mission apart from the sleeping lord.

Jah, I believe that is actually the lord "on first alert", when he hears your footsteps, etc. He never makes it to "second alert" and stands up though, at least he never did when I played it.

That still seems odd - I've never heard of sleeping people making alert comments. And the voice sounded quite distant, as if it was coming from behind a wall, even though I was standing only about 20 feet from the lord.

They did in Thief 1 - they would make minor alert comments and then go back to sleep if they didn't hear anything else.
I always preferred that to Thief 2's "even the slightest sound wakes me up" system.

Bad Intentions is a T2 mission, though, so does this mean that it's technically possible in T2 as well?

I have experienced this when I decided to alter the alert level of the sleepers the as suggested by NV in a certain post to make them less sensitive. But I didn't like the way they acted, they spoke while sleeping at low alert and it was hard to wake them anyway so I returned to the original settings and lowered their hearing instead (as usual).

Yes, and it's something that I recommend all authors do.
Having people wake up at the slightest noise and and then stand on top of their beds and do nothing is annoying and it looks stupid.
Mabe someone should make some alternate half-asleep alert 1 sounds, "Mrpmhpl?" instead of "Someone there?" - that would be better than having them speaking and then going right back to sleep.
