those puzzles have become very popular here in the u.s. in the last few years, we've always been fond of crossword puzzles and word puzzles in the paper, my local paper debuted them for one week to see if they were popular, and made it a regular feature shortly after that.
Last month one of my friends applied for a job in some company and he was asked to solve a sudoku when he was interviewed there :p:weird:

I enjoyed this one, an excellent design with beautifull textures and objects, interesting gameplay and story, the ambient music also fited well;)
Looking foward for more

EMP grenades. I have used them where indicated in previous post, but they aren't doing anything. Used all 4, direct hits.....no results. What am I missing??

you are throwing them at the electric lights, they really help with electric lights in the halls. so you can get to a room. there are water arrows in the caves to help with fire places, then you have lots of shadows.

Thanks, I just discovered I was using the wrong object. I'm working at the source area not the lights themselves :thumb:

the box with the wire? you'll have to short that out with a tool.

I enjoined playing this mission.
I liked many things about it: firest and the most- the gadgets, espasely i liked being the one to use the hammer throwing wand for a change- Is was fast, fun to use and very useful when the undead chasing you (the portal/chamber).
I liked the way the ghost desapierd after i throw at them the holy sponge (the red light with the symbols), and the fact that i slayed those scary zombies with a throw of a sponge... well I pretty much liked everything in this FM.
I even liked the way that the difficulties was the missions parts. :thumb:

Great mission:thumb: Except some glitches (like stucking in ladders, hardness to get to dumbwaiter) it is perfect technical work and architecture.
It is definitely one of the best for me in contest. But... not the bestest: for some reason I didn't get that creepy feeling, perhaps Overlook Mansion ambient sound in Part 1 did bad thing...

This mission looks very nice, but it's also very... mismatched. A lot of disparate elements that didn't really fit together, ideas taken from other FMs but without the appropriate context, things that just don't match the setting, and things that didn't make much sense.
Examples include: a dumbwaiter where none of the landings have any reason to have a dumbwaiter (it's in a hallway, not in a kitchen or anywhere near what looks like a dining area); EMP grenades (that term comes from nuclear physics, it does not fit in a Thief setting), the holy sponge idea taken from Ominous Bequest but without any actual holy water (making it a bit odd), a sword magically becoming "The Builder's Sword" when being touched with some holy symbols by an unbeliever, having to turn the lights back on for no sensible reason, etc.
Also, I think I spent longer on the sudoku than the mission...
