Ominous Bequest. Again, the main focus is the wicked sorceror Kadar. I tried to illustrate the climatic battle between the three last Dawn Mages and Kadar in the Alpha Chamber. Two have already fallen and only the youngest, Az'Achiel, is left to resist. Xedormicost is embedded in the dark altar. Kadar's true face is revealed, his mask torn of while battle one of the previous two mages. Kadar gives Az'Achiel a taunting grin and beckons him to surrender the Book of Souls. Ultimately, Az'Achiel, though fatally wounded, manages to hurl the Book at Xedormicost. The Book is damaged and Kadar is trapped in the Book of Souls until Garrett enters the scene many years later.
