maga, in your previous post you said you have the roof key. Did you go to the roof? You need to go there and use the telescope. You will get another objective. That should set you on the right path.

maga - When you look through the telescope on the roof you should see Lucy in the boathouse and get an objective to go there. When you go to the boathouse attic and look through the sextant (spy glass) there you should see Lucy in the house attic and get an objective to go there. Go to the kitchen and go to the broom closet behind the ovens. There is a secret passage there that is accessed by frobbing a coathook. Climb the ladders to the attic and go into the next room. There is a note in the fireplace there. Put out the fire, read the note and see if that helps.

maga - once you read that note you should get an objective to see what Lucy is doing in the kitchen. Climb back down the ladders and go in the storage room near the freezer. You should see Lucy there. She will run away from you and disappear. You cannot catch her but go back to the spot you first see her in the storage area and look at the wall there.

How do I get into the walled-off area of the basement? I already have the key but where do I use it?

Use it in the elevator. There is a lock on the elevator wall. Just realize that this is a puzzle.
