I can't get the key on the elevator to work. Perhaps a New Dark problem? I'm running 1.20

Yes Tannar, I know it should do that, but it doesn't.
I reloaded and went back to the room where I got the key, than take the elevator down and use the key and than it works. It probably only works when done in this way. When I tried the key the first time around. I tried it when the elevator was already down and then it didn't work.
But it's OK now.

It's a fantastic mission, love the interesting story and intrigues. :D But I think I will have to restart it. I think I may have KO-ed Lucy, so I believe I can progress anymore-and also when watching through telescope I didn't get the movies and additional objectives.
I was browsing this thread and I noticed (almost) nobody had this problem. Was there maybe an important info, a scroll that I have missed in-game regarding this?

Lost,
No, I don't think you KO-ed Lucy. :D
What did you see in the telescope ?

Problem solved. I am so happy to be able to continue! But I still don't know the reason why it has appeared.
Maybe I had to exit from the game and enter again. I swear, that yesterday, after frobbing the telescope (and I have pulled the lever) all I could get is the "telescope" objective ticked as complete and no movies appeared. All this with multiple reloading. The only other left, are the ones about the loot, escape with the boat and find more info about the cook.
Today, 5 mins ago (morning), I again tried "spotting"-the same quicksave and IT WORKED-got the movie and new objective! :D Maybe Lucy was sleeping yesterday. Because now I could clearly hear someone is walking above or near the kitchen. :p Also in the library-the titles of the books (without frobbing) reappeared again, while yesterday at one time they dissappeared. And actually had dreams last night about this mission, believe or not. :D
EDIT: finished the mission today. I fired it again to continue in the evening and the bug appeared again-the telescope frobbing did not work. I have restarted the computer and then it was ok. Great work, now to second part!

This was a great mission...until I realized that, because I'd killed the frogbeast in Stephanie's room, I can't finish the mission.
Man...I always put a broadhead in those little bastards on sight. I'd read the readable with the hint about feeding Stephanie's pet, but I didn't make the connection to the frog—and it never occurred to me that a mission would present me with an enemy that, if neutralized, will render the mission unwinnable!
I hate to be critical, especially of a mission that's otherwise so well done—but after spending so much time modeling the architecture, writing the story, plotting guard routes, scripting, playtesting, etc., it's worth taking twenty minutes to think about how the player might inadvertently break the mission. There's a reason that key plot points (characters, objects, etc.) in games are usually indestructible.

I've encountered a problem that seems to be NewDark related at least no one else had this. I couldn't frob and thus pick the safe in the small office. At first I thought it had something to do with me not having turned off the alarm yet but even afterwards it didn't work. I tried to progress as far as I could but I also didn't have any titles on the books in the library (they were just switches without any further info basically) and furthermore the red dressed woman (Lucy?) was just standing near the freezer instead of doing anything. I knocked her out eventually to see if that was necessary but as I can't open the safe and also can't do anything with the books I don't think I can finish this mission anyway.
Any ideas?

I had similar problems (when playing it last year), the book titles dissapearing as well as impossible to frob the telescope. I had to restart computer many times, because restarting once helped only for a while.

Thanks, I'll try restarting my PC and then attempt to frob the safe :)
