I have a problem at the start and it might be my noobism with TDM. I've read the letter
near the tavern about the key hidden up there in the pot. But how do I get there? I don't seem to have any rope arrows.

This Mission is fun! Moving objects around and placing them to allow you to get to high places is so refreshing. So many places off the ground to explore, its a good thing the player control is so spot on. No broken movement here. Lets face it, as original Thieves we all use mouselook, not joypad/controller. This has got to be one of worst things about Deadly. lol Thanks for remembering the concept of pure exploration.

How is this done? I've completed the other two things but this last one really befuddles me.
Thanks for any clues.

push the stone hammer off the top of the scaffold onto the statue Thanks Springheel, pushing the stone hammer off the scaffold worked and I consulted the 'Objectives' on what to do next and I was to leave the church but as I left it, the 'Mission Completed' statement didn't come on and I had to end the mission manually.
Guess this is another bug in an otherwise good and enjoyable game. Hopefully these problems will be fixed soon and this mission will behave as it should.
It was a good and enjoyable experience and the corrections should make it better.

Folks,
(First of all, the timing of this forum upgrade may be unfortunate. It looks like we lost some old threads, and I can't find the old thread from a year ago today describing the old version of this mission and I did yesterday.)
Update: As stated elsewhere on the forums, use Google "Advanced Search" to search ttlg.com and that works to find the old thread.
Oh well, I get to ask here...
With much pain, I managed to
get the sewer key from the pot, and made my way through the sewers to the church. I thus ended up
managing to steal the relic long before I got to the statue. Once I figured out how to damage the statue, I returned to where I started and the mission didn't end. Somehow, the objective to find the relic had turned off even though I had the relic in my inventory!
Is this a known issue?

Further experimentation notes that irregardless of whether you've damaged the statue, the relic objective turns off
when you either step in front of the steps in front of the church or step into the room with the ladder going back down to the sewers. I wonder if somehow the "leave the vicinity of the church and declare the mission over" somehow got morphed into "leave the vicinity of the church and turn the relic objective off?" Anyway, this makes the mission uncompletable.
Update: The old thread (for the demo mission a year ago) does not mention anyone having this problem with the objectives, thus suggesting it's a new issue.
Where is this pot with the sewer key in it? I've looked around the upper room with, presumably, the sleeper on the floor and I was unable to locate it.
Thanks for any clues.

burrick: you can find it right across your starting point, in a house window across the alley where you entered the mission. Clues to get it are nearby. Spoiler: knock it off with an arrow.

Just wondering about this. I know that there are some rough spots in this mission but this time I'm interested in what the total loot take is. So far I have netted, in the Expert mode, a loot total of 2137 out of the 'at least 1500 loot to complete the 'Expert' part of this mission. Wonder if the 2137 is the total loot amount or is there more I haven't come across yet?
Thanks

The total loot in expert = 2674
