For some reason when I load the texture family I made composed of The Dark Mod textures it crashes dromed on me. At first I thought it was something wrong with the files since they start out as .jpg but then I tried out the .dds versions and alas it still didn't work and just crashed dromed. I even went so far as to converting the .jpg versions to .png to see if they would work but it still crashes dromed on me. What is dromeds problem with textures I got from The Dark Mod? Someone please help because I love the textures and really want to use them :tsktsk:

My first thought is that the textures are non-power of two textures. DromEd only supports power of two textures such as 64x64, 128x128, 1024x1024, 64x1024, etc.

Oh my goodness it was the names of the textures :sweat: I guess they were too complex names, sorry for wasting forum space :nono:

It's not just Dromed. It's every game engine - DarkMod is the same in that matter.

Yeah after I changed the names everything worked out fine. But I noticed .jpg files don't work which makes me have to convert to .png for all of them :p

Take a look at the modders notes (in the NewDark zip). All available texture formats and the priority were listed there.
