I already destroyed the heart down the well... I'll back up to an earlier save, but when am I supposed to destroy the heart ?
It is said in the read me file of the FM. After you completed all the other objectives.
Acolyte6 on 15/4/2010 at 17:00
I left the potion on the box next to her bed, raised the candle up there too. She walks over to & up onto the box and knocks both off, but the objective does not tick off
The objective about not killing her does not tick off either.
As for Edridge's something incriminting, where would I find that?
The door nest to Lady Helena's room. How do I get that open?
Oh yeah. In the bedroom with the secret opened with the candle stick there is a silver chest. Where is the key for that? In the same room?
Fidcal on 15/4/2010 at 17:13
Acolyte6: Sounds like you are playing the old version. Heart was updated several days ago in which you
cannot destroy the Heart until later. That was the main reason for the update. If you downloaded since the following post can you let me know from where you got it in case it needs uploading somewhere else.

The key for the door you mentioned is in Lady Helena's room.
The key for the silver chest is also in that room.
A clue to the incriminating evidence is in Lord Edridge's room.

I know it's the old version. I havn't updated it since I would have to play the whole thing all over again, besies you said it wasn't necessary to finish it. Just for those who want to see the improvements.
Yeah, I found the bath key as soon as I posted. I've already been in there from the garden.
Acolyte6 on 15/4/2010 at 17:54
what to do next... Got the incriminating evidense, been in all the rooms. Got 6 of the optional 8 secrets... loot objective ticked off when I got 'Baffords' sceptre...hmmm
piln on 15/4/2010 at 19:56
Well, the clock just struck 6, so I must've been in there just over 4 hours this run... in fact I remember two hours had past just as I was making my way out after finishing all the objectives (except destroying the Heart). So the last two hours have been loot & secret hunting, and knocking people out :cheeky: Currently on 8631 & 12 secrets. This is the kind of difficulty balance I like - mission-critical objectives can be taxing, but not annoyingly so, while secrets can be as well-hidden as you like. As a bonus, in this mission, even though some of the secrets are extremely well hidden none of them have seemed ridiculous or OTT. The archery trophy, love letter and gem-in-the-ceiling are great.
Man, this mission would be a task and a half to ghost with 100% loot. It's a long mission as it is, and must have taken a lot of hours & hard work to make, but players are going to get a hell of lot of mileage out of it.

Thanks piln. I've never found all the loot myself as I tend to forget things!
@Acolyte6: Have you finished all the objectives and just looking for loot and secrets? Some have clues so you certainly want to read up some of the stuff if so.

I'm loving this mission! as such, I don't want to read through the whole thread for specific answers and spoil myself, so forgive me if these have been asked:
where is Elanor's chest key?
how do I open the single door in the Rear Hall?
how do I open the the library?
how do I open the other door near the office?
so far I have been though the downstairs, upstairs, garden, and guardhouse... I know there is plenty more to explore (up the spiral stairs, those mysterious windows on the balcony) but for the moment I'm stuck.
some secondary questions:
how do I give the lady-in-waiting/chambermaid her real orders?
is the marksman's trophy on top the the tower or somewhere else?
is there a trick to KOing sleeping AI?

The key is inside so you can't from that direction.

the library?
Are you sure you are in
the library? The office also has several bookshelves. In V.2 of Heart the office has a notice on the door. The office has a big desk with lots of drawers and cupboards; the library doesn't.Quote Posted by MrMunkeepants

The most interesting way is to wait until you have explored more and you will find the way naturally.

how do I give the lady-in-waiting her real orders? You don't need to; they are just for a clue to something.

on top the the tower or somewhere else?
Yes!

Don't know.
I don't do it often enough. When I have I just hit them on the head. I don't know if the double bunk beds are more difficult because of the overhead though.
MrMunkeepants on 16/4/2010 at 06:31
thank you, Fidcal, I'll see where those hints get me.
I'm still having trouble KOing walking AI; you'd thinking laying still would be easier but nooo... I didn't even try the ones in bunk beds. never got the hang of hitting them in T2, either.
EDIT:
apparently I don't have v2, because the office door is not marked. that is the room I thought was the library.
I never found the keys to the pump room or either jail cell-type door on the servants' hallway, is that what's holding me back? I've been up the spiral steps and opened the hatch, even sliding food in; I've gotten into the chapel and the upstairs bedrooms and the Rear Hall and the balcony and the garden... I can't follow Wickish into the library because he is KOed (I don't think I'm supposed to, though)... is there something special about the bathroom, besides a neat plug-fill-drain system?
