xaussienanny: OK, then you have my permission to use noclip. ;)
BTW did you use the firearrow? Maybe it blasted the key away? (I always thought keys should not be moveables.)
Thanks Fidcal,
Uh whats noclip? (showing my lack of knowledge and hanging my head in shame):wot:
I may have used the fire arrow when trying to work out how to light the lamp, but I always reloaded when it didnt work (only one fire arrow and thought it might be to do something else)
ps your handiwork is just beautiful, I have had a blast playing it and am determind to keep searching until I find all the secrets. ta very much:thumb:
Did a bit of a search and have found out for myself what noclip is and how (love the net) its used. thanks

I have got into the interrogation room...Now what I know the chain with the hook is supposed to move to reveal something but how do you move it.. Also how do you get into the room next to the interrogation room?
Fidcal on 5/4/2010 at 06:34
Ringer:
Interrogation room: There is a lever above where the big chain is. There are some luggable chests you can stand on. Access to the other room will come about naturally.
Kittykat and everyone:
How to use the slow match.
The slow match is a taper that smoulders for hours.
It is best to practice the slow match in a safe place.
It can be used to light any torch or candle so atmospheric and useful anywhere in the mission.
You might wish to game save in case you drop the match.
Select the slow match in the inventory. It is under the 'Tools' category.
Press the Drop control (see menu settings.) Do NOT use 'Frob' NOR 'Use' controls.
The match should now be in the 'carry' position held in front of you.
Use the move and rotate controls to point it with the bright glowing end forward.
Move it to any torch, oil lamp, or candle, etc. and they should ignite automatically.
Press the 'Use' control to put the match away back in your inventory.
There is a special objective where you need to use it. You will know it when you see it so don't read the following until then if you are stuck:
Climb the tree where you came in.
Walk along the branch towards the Heart cabinet and the lantern above it.
Save your game.
Take out the slow match as described and push the glowing end forward between the bars of the lantern to the red powder and it should ignite with a bright red flame which is focused downwards by the giant lens.
Press the 'Use' control to put the match away back in your inventory.

I'm up at the top of the spiral staircase, and behind the barrel there is a lock which I can't get open. I've looked all over the place for the key, but can't find it. Gentle nudge?
BTW; Fantastic mission! Secrets! Rope arrows! Swimming!
This is my first TDM mission. My God this is impressive stuff! Even the training mission blew my freakin mind.
Fidcal on 5/4/2010 at 08:40
Thanks mgeorge.
Hint: Clue in Hocksley's footlocker (Hocksley's orders.)
Nudge: Key is in Lord Edridge's bedroom (he has the key down in the parlour.)

Wierd, eh? It persists upon reloading my saved game (new Doom 3 session as well), so I can post screenshots and/or saves if anyone's interested. Anyone else get this too?
I can confirm this as well. I remember KO'ing a guard on the 2nd floor, dragging his body into an unlit corner, and dropping him "flat". When I reloaded a game and revisited that hallway again, I found the guard still unconscious, but slightly moved from where I placed him and "crumpled up" as you described.
Not really a huge deal, but since you brought it up I thought I'd mention it.
Finished the mission last night, BTW. Had a great time. 4 hr 41 mins, 7,400 or so loot, 6 secrets - played on Expert.
One thing about Sam:
Are you really expected to drag that skeleton all the way through your tight escape route? I couldn't pick him up like a regular body. I assume you were supposed to place him in the chapel a few doors down.

I finished all objectives except destroy heart and Sam's goal.

I finished all objectives except
destroy heart and Sam's goal. clearing:
Sam:
When you get the heart, right under the gem inside the glass case is a note and a key. If you forgot to get these, GO BACK. You need them for Sam.
The key opens the interrogation room, which you'll recognize by its steel bars. Inside that room, look "up" for a switch.
Destroying the heart:
Down in the cellar, there is a well. If you jump into it and simply let the current take you, you'll end up at some metal bars. You can then drop the GEM at inside the water at this point. Then swim back (against the current) in the other direction. NOTE: DO the SAM objective BEFORE destroying the gem.
