EDIT: OK, you already got it...

As for the Halls of Eternal Tranquility, there is indeed a zombie who alerts to a trap, but that is no bust itself. An alerted zombie just makes that area more difficult to sneak through. Besides, he probably would have alerted to you jumping into the water anyway. There might also be a way to ghost that area. I have an idea, but I'll have to experiment when I replay the mission. :D
If you are talking about zombie alerted at top of the structure then the easiest way to ghost I found was to get far away and return. So I went explore Burrick Caves and when I return zombie wasn't in my way and he was normally patrolling like other zombies. If you are talking about zombies at the bottom then, I think, laying zombies get alerted only when you are close to them or damage them. So noise from falling into water shouldn't alert them, but I didn't find a way to get purse without getting first alert from zombies.

I really liked the second misson, especially the flying lamps sadly i they become really boring after realising that they dont attack you.
One thing bothers me though. In the first misson there is only one ladder going all the way up to one of the church towers, is it possible to open the hatch?

Yes, thanks. Just my habit of going clockwise around just about everything - and being unobservant of course! :)
A have yet to find the Grimoire, it must be fairly obvious as no one else appears to have mentioned a problem- but not to me at the moment. I have managed to solve all of the other puzzles myself including the Mathematician which was easier than I initially made it, but this last location is eluding me thus far.
I thought that Knoss might have it in his tomb - but no luck there
So, a nudge might be appropriate at this stage as I have covered a lot of ground so far with no sign of the book.

Have you
collected all the relics (body parts) and "used" them on the statues in his chamber?
That should activate a
'particle elevator' that lifts you up to the next area.

Yes, have completed that and stolen the loot from his tomb which was quite difficult especially
with the two contra-patroling haunts (on Normal difficulty)
. Currently on 4248 loot and just the last objective to tick off but for the life of me I cannot see where I am overlooking the Grimoire! :) I do not fancy going back to that particular area either - it's quite a challenging section for my limited thieving abilities.
Edit: Found it! Thanks jiansonz, your post prompted me to explore and look more diligently.
now how am I supposed to retrieve the Grimoire from there without getting killed?
EDIT 2: FIN! 5 hours 30 mins, much of which was spent hiding in shadows and going around in circles. A very enjoyable mission which rewards patience and planning. Although I am not really a fan of horror FM's, this was generally easy to navigate past the AI's on Normal difficulty. Quite confusing at times and bit dark even with gamma up to max but some lovely touches and innovations throughout.

I've seen a reference to
Ouroboros in the thread, but I never found it myself. Can anybody give me a hint as to where it is?
Hint #1:
Check your maps. Have you been everwhere yet?Hint #2:
Look at the southwest corner of the last page of your maps.Spoiler:
It is in the Ziggurat of Elders.

I was finally able to play through the whole mission today and I must say this is a very impressive mission. :) I had fun being sucked in by the gear! :D

Just finished mission 1 and really enjoyed looting the town. But... I finished 295 loot short which irks me a bit 'cos I thought I had roped, jumped and slid my way through all the buildings... I had a wonderful time! I looted both towers and the only place left is the bell towers which I don't think I got in to. I collected the Docs loot. I found only 1 switch in the mission - is this where I've missed something? Any thoughts on less obvious loot locations? ... or perhaps its the obvious I missed! Anyway mission 1 is the style of mission I most enjoy and it is superbly done - thankyou. Now on to part 2.

Finished mission 2 on expert in 2hrs 20mins with 4123/4973 loot. Generally I'm not a fan of undead but they were easy enough to avoid. Appreciated the map so I didn't get lost. I thought the mission was a bit too dark and with max gamma it made things look ugly.
I found a Talisman of Atonement (not sure where) and wondered if there is a place to use it?
Finished both missions in 4 hrs 23 mins. I'm sure that was about 8 hours real time with all the re-loads as I had some trouble in mission 2 standing on edges, jumping and clinging / catching edges... probably my bad jumping technique!
Enjoyed the atmosphere, gameplay and riddles. Thanks for a great 2 mission pack.
