Just finished this one, ghosted it on Expert as I always do !
It is by far the most impressive city I've ever played.
The level design is incredible, everything is so coherent, it blew me away !
I always love looking at every little detail, alternative route and shortcut, and this FM's highly rewarding considering the amount of stuff to be discovered by the player
Also, I spent a few minutes on some spots, often while on top of the roofs, watching how high are the buildings, and how far we can watch the city.
It was impressive, I could imagine this city being real and living...
The story was good, the plot interesting, the only thing that could have been pushed a bit more is the crypt.
But I guess technical limits were reached...
In a word, this FM is to me the ultimate TDP/TG authentic city experience.
Congratulations Skacky ! And all the others from TDP20AC !
It reminds all of us how lucky we are to have such talents still active in our gaming community, 20 years after the game was released.

I'm quoting here from a different thread:

Going back to the wall in The Sound of a Burrick, I don't think it's property damage because it's extremely easy to push it out. It's even referred to as a "weakened wall" in the briefing. We are not damaging it any more than it already is. Makes sense?
While the act of pushing the wall may still be undecided whether it's a ghost bust or not, I think that the whole wall situation in this mission is tricky:
- the servant reacts to the hole - the direct result of Garrett's actions - which is a bust to supreme
- I waited quite a lot and - given the "right" timing - the patrolling burrick takes notice eventually of the servant and attacks him, which a bust even to plain ghost.
I tried a practice supreme run, and - apart from the thousand of reloads for botched jumps - it went pretty well, until the wall above and the crypt (which I left at the end). Probably someone with twinkle fingers will be able to pursue the circling haunt and attempt to grab loot while at it, but that ain't gonna be me. I gave up after few attempts, the other haunt kept coming at most inappropriate times. I suppose, though, that just grabbing the objective and prioritising "supreme" over "perfect thief" is an option too (still, not an easy one). I took the lazy way and used two water arrows...
Skacky: that was a wicked mission!!

I knew about the servant fainting, but I don't consider it a bust. I never knew the burrick can attack the servant though.

The situation you are talking about actually doesn't bust even supreme ghost. You are allowed to manipulate situation for AI to kill each other, but you must do that without alerting anyone. That's why opening passage, so burrick will kill servant isn't considered a bust.

That is not true. Rule #5 of the regular Ghost rules says: "Garrett must not cause suicides of AI or melees that intentionally cause AI to attack each other, with the exception of rule 12." So manipulating the environment in ways that lead enemies to attack each other is not allowed, the only exception being scripted fights that you have no control over. Also, rule #12 of the Supreme rules says: "No induced melees", which further reaffirms that principle. I'm not sure where you got your statement from Galaer, but it can't be from the ghost rules.

This is the last mission of the contest I had to play and it´s definitely one of the best ones for me! After "the scarlet cascabel" I didn´t think another one could impress me this much, but it definitely did! There was so much new stuff in there and I just looooove the thieves highway! I missed about 500 loot and the magpie nests, so now I have sth. to look forward to when I´m going to replay it! :D Thanks so much for this fantastic mission!! :thumb:

This mod crashes right after the choose equipment screen when you hit play mission. I have uninstalled it, deleted it, and downloaded a new version. It still crashes. This is the only FM that has crashed on me like this. Using TafferPatcher_TMA_218_beta.

You're trying to play a Thief Gold mission with Thief 2.

Duh! I don't know where I got the idea it was a T2 mission. I guess I need more sleep. Thanks for the reply.

I'd also recommend switching to T2Fix by the way. Tafferpatcher is very outdated.
