Galaer: no, it's made very clear in a readable that the fixing machine does not actually repair it, it just re-assembles it.
"I don't know what could happen if the core breaks down but I know for sure that my crystal will not work anymore, and fixing it with the repair machine will certainly give it it's original shape back but not restore its powers."

I guess, I was too annoyed to remember about it.

Quick question, I came across a readable that mentions someone getting lost in an ancient factory where "it" lives.
Despite my best efforts I could not find what's being referred to in the FM.
Am I missing something, or is it nothing?

Ancient factory is
where you're teleported after damaging the core. Sadly there's not much inside going on AFAIK due to cells and time constraints. However you can see something inside from the belfry before the teleportation ;)

@author: In case this mission gets updated at some point, please update M22BKInstrucs.STR as well, as the last page is truncated and some important clue is not visible to the players.
Add a third page containing this text:
page_3: "in the whole quarter looking for the bits and the risk to get some pieces stolen by the Scrappers. I really need to stop trying things, at least until the exhibition is over."

Level design is stunning, amazing, beautiful and very well thought. Amount of details - enormous. I love this kind of space-efficiency use, the same as in the "Zealot's Hollow" by Xarox or DrK's first "Rocksbourg" mission or "Dirty Money" and "Better Tomorrow", Pukey's "Morbid Curiosity", Rob's "Godbreaker's" both cities and few others. Those maps - and now "Whistling..." too - seem to be huge, yet they are clever packed at not very big space areas. There is always something interesting to see in every direction after taking a few steps forward :) Superb feeling. When maps are created like that, You forget about an objectives for a longer moment of time and just keep exploring area to search for loot, other items and to enjoy the beauty of the created map/level :) When that's happen, You know the map is GOOD :) Fabulous work.
Thanks that metal-clanks are actually very forgiving and AIs do not "panic" to much when it's happen, in the other hand, there is hudge amount of moss arrows to use on. Very good move to add Scrappers on street after core has been compromised. I knew where to seek disappeared piece immediately after I have seen them ;)
There is closed grate/portcullis in "hidden book place" - in guy's flat where dead frog lying near the candle and he is complaining in his notebook. How to open it? :/
And what's a reference for exploding cheese? Can I use it as a bait for smth? Maybe THE Mage is very hungry? ;D Or it's just bait itself to the player, who should search more to find Taffer Award? I don't get it :/ :(
And Taffer Award - why it is not a readable/note with secret message which mysteriously and enigmatically mention about position of another secret loot (unavailable earlier) which spawns when TA has been found? :/ TA itself is not "visible" in mission stats, but additional loot is ;)
As for loot count:
There is 145 loot difference after loot spawns to increase it from 3181 to 3326, and counting 5 for each coin, we can count 29 new coins spawned. (why the heck is not 30? let it remain as Author's mysterious secret :) But to the point: Is it possible some of coins can be destroyed by the fire in the last explosion? or they always exists somewhere sprayed away around a half of a city? I found 28, and even after replying the fight many times and searching hard, never achieved full 29. Some of them are sometimes at very strange roof places, but still pickable :) Can some of them just fly out of the map and never be reachable? I can't find them all :) :P
I like The Mage is bleeding with dangerous fire drops after sword's hit :) It is better to avoid them or You will be hurt :) At first I thought that I can hit him by Gas Arrow, then take the body and drown him in the water/cistern-tower, but forgot that Mages has immunity to elemental things... :| That's how my extraordinary plan to achieve all coins in closed area was ruined :) Good thing he has not immune to Holy Arrows ;PP
This was about 6 hours, 40 min of serious sneaking and true adventure. Cheatty end-mission stats says 3h 24min, but fortunately I have my own timer ;) Found 3196 of 3326 loot, no blackjacks, and surprisingly 1 kill which did NOT fail no-kill objective on Expert :) I spared the Spider ;)
Is there other loot-spawn-events in the mission? What kind of loot I do not have in my pocket? Gold: 1866, Jewels: 300, Goods: 1030. I mean how much in each category.

I've made my way into the butcher's shop, because of the contract asking for pieces of meat. There are four or five pieces of meat lying around the shop, but I can't pick any of them up. Am I missing something?

Strange thing. They are just loot for me, and except for buying the contract, I don't remember I do anthing else special to grab them :/ Some script problem on Your side maybe? Try to reload whole game or... maybe You need TO READ the contract first?

large red chunks of meat lying around the butcher's place aren't what's needed for the contract—it's the deer legs in the cold room that I need. I thought that was just for show because the glass was unbreakable and the door was unfrobbable. Randomly highlighted the lockbox when I went back just now. Funny thing though,
the contract costs 150 but all the pieces of meat in there only add up to 125 :D
