When installing the older Thief games, there's a slide-show of helpful tips and instructions typed over screenshots, as well as filtered stills from the movie files--typical for the time--bmps, I believe. How might I view them outside of the installer? Is there an app that can view the bmps within the compressed data files? Would it be easier to capture them while the installer is running?
Thanks.

Install Images are probably kept in _USER1.CAB file. The file is encrypted and if you open it via HEX editor you may see 'Z□G' at the offset of 0x167. So yes, to capture them while the setup is running will be better. For everyone. :ebil:

Was going to suggest an InstallShield decompiler, but I guess you managed to go through it all without it ;-)

Noted anyway! Thanks. :thumb:
EDIT1: I'd still like to find the filenames.
EDIT2: Found the filenames in User1.hdr, in the following order (02 & 33 swapped):
inst01.bmp
inst33.bmp
inst03.bmp through inst32.bmp
inst02.bmp
