Oh, man, I'm so going around in circles that my head is spinning. And I'm totally stuck.
Could someone simply spell it out for me what do I have to do with the
three corners of magic bit? What are the three corners of magic? Those mages in glass-walled cells in the room behind the double doors? Those dudes vanished the moment I got there. A note appeared on the floor saying "I no yu. They gon now. Find yu not." The note wasn't floating, and nothing happened when I read it. Should something have happened?
I have doused the flames and burned the plant. I've frobbed that one painting that opens the corridors (removes the teleportation haze). I see a secret door on the right not too far from the corridor entrance (starting from the room with the frobbed painting). The door won't highlight, and I can't open it.
I have no clue what I should be doing next.
The door is next, but you should be able to frob and open it. It should be closer to the other end of the corridor (near the plants) rather than the room with the painting. It's on the right hand side (coming from the painting) of one of the straight bits, can't remember which direction in terms of N, S, E or W.

GlasWolf & mol, you shouldn't be able to frob the door mol is talking about.
The door with the switch which opens 2 alternative passageways to Krellek's area is further down the corridor. I asked about the same unfrobable door a few posts earlier, ascottk answered this:
Quote:
#2 That area changes & those twisty western halls change after the switch. It's pretty much a false lead except if you walk to the other transport wall in the south after you frob the painting then you can go to that area. There isn't anything there worth your time but it's there . . .
i.e don't mind the unfrobale door in the western corridors.
ascottk, it's cool the corridors transform, I guessed so when I was playing but I wasn't 100% sure.
mol,
yes the "three corners" are three mages in the cells. I haven't an idea why they disappeared when you got there. You need to hit either electric coil with fire arrow, but you should hit it in the right spot - electric arc should disappear along with mages and objective should tick off. Try either to load earlier saved game, or fire at the coil even though the mages already aren't there. After that you should go to throne room with Krellek.

ascottk - thanks, found the bell near the Everlasting fire and candlestick on library's shelf. Now I have 2375 out of 2400.
However I can't for the life of me find the purse of the dead person in the flipped-over hall. It seems I searched every inch of it but to no avail. There is one purse (50g) in my inventory, but I don't remeber where I found it, maybe that was it? Don't you remeber how much is worth the missing purse of the dead man?

After waking the guy up and taking care of the plant I can't seem to find the
frobbable painting in the NW
. Is it upstairs? I have fobbed I think every
painting
I could find.

bobber,
it's downstairs in the north-west room, where is stairs to the library and passage to the underground hall, you can hear a sound of an elemental arrow behind the picture.
Thanks242. I swear I checked that one!
ascottk on 25/10/2005 at 21:07
Did you put out the fires?
bobber on 25/10/2005 at 21:20
That's why it didn't work when I first checked it! Fantastic mission my friend. You did a great job on it.
bobber on 25/10/2005 at 21:31
One last question. Can I finish without a rope arrow? I seem to be
stuck in Krellek's lair and the only way out seems to require one
. Anyway I can finish without one? I'd like to go out the twisty way if you know what I mean.
242 on 25/10/2005 at 23:43
Yes, you can.
It doesn't matter which way you choose to get to Krellek, but if you choose the most obvious way you'll miss 5 rope arrows, a bit of loot, and some twisted corridors with large flipped-over hall where you can master the rope arrow.
Anyway, there is two ways out of the Krellek's area, the same ways as ways in - you can use any of them if you want to return to the mansion for something. If all previous objectives are checked off, the mission ends in the throne room after you finish the final objective. If you killed Krellek, you should know what it is.
