TDS mission: Valley (June/04/2008) UPDATE:All Languages. - by Flux

There are only 4 notes and one diary to read along the mission. which explains everything.:p
Freesia's room:
It's at the end of pits/abyss, where you hear screams. Inside her room, you find the map. She gets out only after you put Dyan's Amulet on Dyan's window back in the main compound area. You don't need a key for Freesia's room. However, if you go there without the magic perfume on, you won't have a chance against her. Before visiting Freesia, be sure to put "purple magic perfume" (See the diary, keeper agent explains everything.)
Gas Leaking:
After you put the fuse and turn the valve, gas leaks. This makes the two pagans who are wearing helmets become "stoned" so they can't see you well anymore, and you can sneak through. See the note in front of the generator room where you put the fuse to turn the valve.
For the rest of loot, beta-testers as well as me, checked couple of times for 100%loot. It can be done, check around the ruins and forest area for extra loot:) Especially, in the screenshots where you see Garrett on top of ruin walls. Two statues bowls has some loot for instance. You can get there by doing some jumping over the ruined walls.

Well Flux, I guess we do have a huge bug missed in Beta testing then. I did everything you listed, and the door is closed and locked, and she is not around. I hope you can release a bug fixed version soon or else I guess I will consider this mission broken. Other than the chasm part it has been very enjoyable. I look forward to your next one.

Ahh... so that's why it didn't seem to do much in my game. I had already lured those Pagans away so I could pass. In their searching for me, they had dropped all the way down to the lowest level (where the Keeper's room was) and had no path to come back up. I had no reason to go down there again, so I was home free for the rest of the mission.

Hm...I'll have to check this out myself this evening. Stingm, so you...
found the amulet, put it on Dyan's window, let her ignite the green flame, went to the abyss and Freesia was not there nor was her door open? You did not accidentally BJ her before (although I don't know right now if this would affect it at all)? Then it
could indeed be a bug no one has encountered before.

http://www.eidosforum.de/images/smilies/addon/kratz.gifI am not one of the best loot finders and had 89% without any help; in fact everything is as easy as in HC or something. Oh, and the magic wand does nothing.
Stingm on 8/6/2008 at 20:27
Oh oh, you may have something. I never saw Dyan ignite a green flame. I blackjacked her after she came out. I better see if I have a save from right before I placed the amulet. Lemme check this out and I will post back.
Edit: That was it! I had to replay the whole level as I had no saves before that unfortunately. But it was worth it. Dyan and Lilac apparently do have to light the Green flame in the fountain in order to let F come out. Glad that was the problem. Thanks for a great mission, looking forward to your next one.

Flux,
Just wanted to say I finished your great fm. It was really fun, even tho I almost never found the Amulet. After I found it everything ended too quickly.
Thanxs again for a couple of evenings lurking around in the dark again. It's one of my favorite things to do. Can't wait for your next one.

I have only found two keys in the mission so far: both in the room with the sleeping guy. I still cannot open the gate to the other caves. What am I doing wrong? Is there another key somewhere that I missed?
I'm just running around like a chicken with its legs cut off; this is very frustrating.
A few hours later...
Found the missing key: One of the guards I KOed dropped a key, and I didn't notice it until I went crawling through the entire section. I've now gone through most of the other caves, found Dyan's amulet, and plucked a pink flower. I still need a dead beetle, and of course the taproot (but I think I know where that last is)... yeesh!

I guess i´m stuck because i don´t know wich objectives do i have to acomplish as they don´t appear on the goalsboard...Anyone knows wich are the objectives in the easiest mode?
Dafydd on 9/6/2008 at 13:06
Gaah! I've completed all the objectives except loot; I need 90%... I have 89%.
Anything will do it for me... can someone suggest some hard to notice loot that I might have missed? Anything? Even a coin or a cup would allow me to finish!
Thanks,
Dafydd

Dafydd, you could try a piece of loot in an urn in the area with the running shamans. If you come from the forest section, stay on the left side of the foremost wall (the one around which the first shaman runs), go up the hill until you find this urn buried in the ground). If you already found it; have a look at the area around the high scaffold tower with the elevator some way back. Mind especially the dark corners.
Cardia, you can change your language settings in the user.ini of your game (when the FM is NOT installed) to English (or German, if you like :p).
