hello
OK,i am back with some more questions about thief, this time deadly shadows:-
1. the gear was associated with the mechanists,so why in the first mission involving the hammerites why do you need a small hammer and a GEAR to lower the cage to get the builders chalice when the hammerites hated the mechanists?.
2. when garret takes the chalice and the paw back to the hammerites and the pagans, how does he remove them from their landmarks?.
3. the eye is the final glpyh?,so what if anything is the illuminated streets when garret inserts the eye into the fountain?.is that some sort of glyph?.
thank you

1. It's just a symbol. Are you gonna hate hinduist svastika just because some sick tapezier has used it as a symbol for his sick ideology? And gears are essential to operate industrial machinery.
2. That's open for speculation, but there is no solid evidence they can't be removed from the landmarks once they do what they're supposed to.
3. The Eye is just one of the sentient artifacts meant to unleash the power of the final glyph. I'm not sure about this fact in the Thief Lore but the pagan/Trickster symbol could be also taken as a glyph representing The Eye.
