You may well be right Chade but there are a lot of people who have not yet played the game and the new thief collection with TDP, TMA, GOLD and TDS that is coming out will bring us an entire new crop of taffers.
So, spoilers may still be appropriate. :)

They may become appropriate again for T1-3 in the future, but as far as I can see, no-one uses them right now. (nicely demonstrated itt.)
Of course there are still plenty of other places where you would want to use spoilers. I'm not suggesting Legion420 doesn't need to know how to use them, so kudos for taking the time to mention these things to him.
