Looks exactly like Ico, except with a large rat.
I wouldn't use the word "fantastic"

Looks very alpha. The environment quality is a little on the rough side, and the character models (besides the rat-bird) look like something you'd see in a PS2 game. On the plus side, the animation is fantastic, and it looks dead-on like something I'd expect out of Team Ico.
Still needs alot of work, but very promising. I like it. :D

This is why I bought this thing. Magical, I want.

That's a Gryphon, not a rat. /pedanticity

Of course you wouldn't. Your heart seized up and died the moment your fingers found the seething, teeming masses of the internet. :(
Anyhow, this was a proof of concept and is more than a year old, according to the internet. It's certainly not finished work or indicative of the current status of the project in any terms, but it's almost certain that the game is going to be a consolidation of Ico and SoTC.
However early it may be, this video is still enchanting. What I'm most impressed by than anything else is the living, breathing quality of the creature. I'll be damned if they didn't make it as cute and lovable as a kitten... it just speaks volumes about the talent at hand in the team.

Did you even bother to watch the video, or did you just look at the picture?
And Sulphur...right on as usual :thumb:

It's definitely the most rat-like gryphon I've ever seen, especially with the shape of its head and body and with its pink, naked tail. Or perhaps it's the most gryphon-like rat I've ever seen. It's a draw.
It looks lovely, even though the boy's visual design seems under-developed at this point compared to the ratphon.
And I wish they hadn't used the music from
Miller's Crossing. If I associate a piece of music uniquely with one film (or TV series or game), I find it quite jarring to hear it used for something else. See
Requiem for a Dream's soundtrack for an especially annoying example of this...

Which clue lead you to this astonishing claim? The head and tail of a lion, or the beak and wings of the eagle? And people accuse
me of not watching the video.

Reminds me of (

Yeah I can't stand that Requiem for a Dream song now. It was amazing but they use it in every fucking movie trailer. But Shadow of the Colossus had one of the greatest soundtracks ever so I have faith that the sound design of the game will not dissapoint.
Will be awesome, Fumito Ueda is the man who has PROVED to me that video games are 100% art. The bits with the gameplay look amazing, although it seems VERY similar to Shadow of the Colossus. That's not really a bad thing I guess, but maybe it'll change more to come into its own since it said the footage is a year old.
And the design for the boy and the creature are pretty bizarre, although the more I think about it I guess the whole draw/charm of the creature is supposed to be the mish-mash of things that it is. Like ewww and awww at the same time.

Kokes, while I do have some sympathy for your observational failures, you do realise I could turn that question around and ask you the same thing, right?

http://ttlg.com/forums/images/icons/icon15.gifAnyway, I have to agree with you, Thirith. It's some sort of a ratty gryphon at any rate, and that's the best description so far. You win! :D I'll let this thread move on now.
