I had Thief 3 on my PC without a problem before now.
I recently upgraded to Windows Vista (no comments please), and although my Thief directory seems to be fine and untouched, and all the files are there, when I try to get the exe to work, its listed as working, but nothing actually happens, its listed in the Task Manager, but thats it, nothing else.
I moved house a few months ago and just totally lost my Thief 3 disc 1 so had to use a NoCD after getting moved in, so I cant re-install Thief 3 either...
Basically, am I screwed? I dont think its working because of the lack of registry entries etc but I cant re-install, but all 2+ gig worth of files are there on my PC, so I dont want to just delete the lot if I've some possibility of salvation...
Any help is really appreciated!

yup, you're boned.
the only thing i can think of is to buy a new copy of thief 3 and try installing from that, after uninstalling the old one.
and that's not guaranteeing it'll actually work since you're on vista.

I'm not sure if it will work, but you might try running dracflamloc's Thief 3 Launcher. It's designed to swap registry entries between an editor and the game, so it might write what you need in there. I'm not sure if it handles all the keys, though, so you might still be missing a few.

Where can I save or download Thief cutscenes. Or record the cutscenes off the game CD. I dont understand what the people on the HELP!!! thread are on about...MOVIES file. Full installation. There on the CD.... But how?? Where??...What???:confused: :confused: :confused:

You are already getting assistance from several people in <a href="http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109600">the thread you started dedicated your problem</a>. It's unhelpful and rude to spam a completely unrelated thread with the same question instead of waiting for people to clarify things for you in the other one.
