Sorry to hear that, henke -- I was looking forward to hearing about how quickly you were legitimately slaughtered on L9 with your single hit-point; but for a game bug to rob you of the chance to survive it is pretty rough. I'd report that to them.

Yeah, I second that recommendation. It's the best way to conserve ammo in the early stages.
I just played level 1 for the first time in ages, and having to use the knife at all came as a bit of a shock :)

Well, grrr. Made it to Level 3 again with a fair decent spread of equipment, but wasn't expecting the [spoiler]robots with ranged weaponry after having wandered around most of the level only encountering zombies and swarms. Unexpectedly pulverised in two seconds flat.[/spoiler]Should have read more of Henke's advice. Back to Level 1 I go!
