DromEd seems to forget the placement of a couple custom textures in my mission. I'm using several custom textures but only two are having this issue. The textures remain in the palette, and if I re-apply them, they're already oriented correctly (which required manipulation of the alignment). Moreover, they're remembered by the gamsys, so when I re-apply them, they have all the properties they're supposed to have.
Is there a known fix to this?

Are you saving as a .cow or as .mis and .gam? If the latter are you saving and assigning the .gam every time?
Is it being replaced by Jorge or some other texture on the palette?

I'm saving as .mis and .gam. The gamsys is loading just fine, since the textures retain their properties. DromEd just seems to be forgetting which surfaces the textures were on. Yes they're placed by Jorge.

Double check the textures' dimensions; they must only be powers of 2.

One's 512x256 the other is 512x512, so that's not the issue. I don't think it matters, but the .mtl scales are set to powers of two, as well.

Drop them from the palette, save and restart Dromed. Then add them back and reassign to the faces.

The texture's filename might be too long.

I think when that is the problem, the textures get dropped off the palette (unloaded) on restart. But in case I'm wrong, the full path + filename of your textures can't exceed 80 characters if memory serves, so check that.

Problem has spread :( now all texture placements have been forgotten. Fortunately their scale and alignment is retained, which is the really painful part. Maybe I'll take the opportunity to re-do the artistic vibe. But first I need to figure out why this is happening...

If you want to share a .cow and one of the problematic textures, I can see if it happens for me too. Did you check the length of the full path?
