I've been trying to wrap a texture around an object, using AccuTrans3D and Anim8or. I also tried doing it in Blender, but have only been using that monster for a week. After a couple of days, I've given up, and now ask someone here to see if they can do it and email me back the file.
It was originally an Unreal object (.psk) exported as a 3DS file via Blender. Unfortunately, the UV coords don't ship with the export, unless I missed something. Perhaps someone familiar with Blender can clue me in.

It's already texture mapped. Anim8or cannot display png images and in Blender you need to set the correct display options to see the texture. That may be why it appears unmapped.
It has a material but you need to assign a texture (the texture tab is next to the material tab). That should be enough for a successful export to the Dark Engine, but it's nice to be able to see the texture.
There are several ways of showing it on the object. The one that I prefer involves the Material Utils addon (I'm not sure if it comes with Blender or has to be downloaded). When it's enabled, you can press Ctrl Q to bring up a menu. Select Material to Texface. Finally, in the 3D view go to the Properties panel (N to toggle visibility), go to Shading and select Textured Solid.

Yeah, Anim8or is pretty limited on texture types. I had a .gif version assigned but still only saw black. I'll follow your instructions in Blender. Thanks, Robin.
