Really, what is the deal? You'd think they'd be eager to cash in on sales of an English TG release.
Cynical thought:
They're holding out until they've sold XXX number of noGold packs. Then they will repackage with TG and make some more money off all the people who want the Gold.
More cheerful & pav-like thought:
They really ARE going to release a T4 and are planning a special T1-TG-T2-T3-T4 pack.
*pav gets dreamy...*

Thanks, but I have multiple copies of all the games including the Dual Platinum pack I referred to.
I have at least two copies of the original GOLD offering as well, although a complete anthology in one package would definetely find a home on my shelves if it became available in a English version.
I appreciate the offer. So, once more. Thank you.
PavlovscatI love a lady with imagination and ambition. May your wishes come to fruition. Soon!

You can get the bundle on Czech retailer website
(
http://www.jrc.cz/index.php?a=2&id=21017) http://www.jrc.cz/index.php?a=2&id=21017
for approximately 12 euro.
Unfortunately they're shipping only to Czech addresses only and you have to pay by bank draft. If there's somebody really eager the get their hand on it then use voodoo's offer or try to ring them at +420 257 189 520 or +420 605 296 147 (ICQ 340-858-880 or 191-456-086). Maybe they would help...?

Thief Gold is Dark Project's boring, ugly cousin. Worthwhile for obsessive thief nerds perhaps (yes, I have a copy), but the extra missions, while interesting, aren't of the same quality as the original material and the extra bloat and below averageness drags the game down from a lean, toned and perfectly formed, clearly awesome, best game ever 10/10 thing of beauty and a joy forever to something more like a so-so 7.5/10 thing.
A Dark Project / Metal Age bundle will make you happy. Pick up Gold some other time at a yard sale or something.

I disagree, but everyone is entitled to their opinion....

...even you ;)
Which bit do you disagree with: that TG is worthwhile (as an addition, rather than a replacement for Dark Project I guess) for thief nerds, That the extra missions aren't of a quality consistent with the original Dark Project missions, that Dark Project is super awesome or that its super awesomeness is diluted by Gold's (sub par) additions?

I have a special spot in my heart for TG. I happen to love the Mage Towers, but, aside from that, I hadn't discovered FMs back then. I had been playing TDP & TMA over & over again. Having a few new levels was very exciting to me. Also, the other changes in TG made replaying again for the XXXth time fresh.
I don't feel that either TDP or TG were neccessarily better, just different. The added levels did lighten up the feeling of the entire game, so I can understand why some didn't like them. But, for me, it kept T1 fresh. I can always choose to play either one whenever I want.

I disagree with your negative viewpoint of thief gold. I happen to think it is a good addition to an already good game. Yeah maybe the three levels aren't the best ever additions to a game, but it's not just the levels that Looking Glass updated. There's plenty other reasons to like Thief Gold.
