God I forgot how wonky the TDP/TG controls were... Is it even possible to have shift as a run modifier? The closest I get is pressing shift+w makes me run, but pressing shift while walking does nothing
Help?...

that's that's what i had to do.
Though now i changed it to "shift" is speed modifier and ctrl+w is run - this means if i press shift and w it sort of slows things down a bit more - a bit like creep in thief 2. I dunno if it's meant to do this but it does :S
I would have had shift+w as run and ctrl as speed modifier but for some reason i think thief kept resetting shift to being the speed thing - which meant that every time i ran the game, shift + w was run and shift was also speed modifier - which ended up meaning you crept or at least walked when trying to run :S
But yer, I dunno if there's a proper way of doing it.
Also, does anyone know if it's possible to get the side mouse buttons (4 and 5) to do anything and be used by the game. Middle mouse is picked up, but these don't seem to be :(

You could try finting a utility that remaps the mouse keys to keyboard keys. I might actually look myself, I'd like to use the mousewheel in Thief.

oh yer that would be nice - does it work in thief 2 normally? weird how middle mouse works but that doesn't.
