Evening
Like a number of other players, I have found the ambient tracks in TBOM quite jarring. So I have replaced all the street, the castle ambient's and what I assume is a music room ambient's and while I was at it, I updated the skybox with a much more detailed version that imho is a good match for the fantastic details of the city.

Just upack and copy the folders as they are straight into the 'The_Bracelet_of_Melody.zip' fm archive. And I hav attached a screen grab of the new sky -

Bikerdude, hi! Your link seems to have expired.
Is it possible to re-upload it if you find the time? I would love to play Cardia's mission, but trouthfuly, there is no love lost between me and this music (or French, come to think of it, :cheeky: but, hey...that's just me.. :erm: ) so, a more familiar ambient sound will at least help me properly immerse into the game.
Thank you for your time! :)

Did Cardia ever approve this? I'm not a big fan of these types of things.

I doubt that, but why should we care? We want things to be as we like, and we do them as we like. Because we can.

Oh, that's alright. Just ignore "these things"

Why we should care? Really?
To respect the work of others is the bare minimum everyone should do. Cardia explicitly stated in the readme that changes of this mission can be made but only with his/ her knowledge.
Why should anyone create a new fan mission ever again if we, as a community, can't quarantee to respect their wishes and their work?

The unwritten rule, if there is such a thing, is that people don't release amended zips, ie permanently alter an authors work, but mods are considered differently, they are optional. TFix, T2Fix, water texture packs, NecroAge, HD mod and all dml's are widely used and authors generally accept their use.
In theory Bikerdude's mod would have also fitted in with these optional mods, but he may well have withdrawn it at Cardia's request

I don't think BD's pack fits in with any of the common texture packs at all. Those all attempt to "upgrade" the game's stock resources, which were created by LGS. This is replacing someone's creative and artistic choices.
If players want to do this kind of thing in private, on their own PC for themselves, who could argue. But if you're going to change someone's creative work and offer it to others in a public forum, It think the very least you can do is get the author's permission first.
