I think Jerome

If the garden is supposed to be inaccessable, what's the point of that switch under the upper ledge opening grassy trapdoor? Also when you get out of the garden onto the wall, you can jump onto the street lamp and read "You have solved a puzzle!" plaque facing a wall. So I guess visiting the garden is a puzzle. Right?

If the garden is supposed to be inaccessable, what's the point of
that switch under the upper ledge opening grassy trapdoor?:) When mission was in development, I wanted to add an easter egg
in Jerome's room and to make
the garden door breakable (so they can be exploded with mines / fire arrows) and, thus, access the courtyard this way. But not through the roof.
However, later I didn't manage to make the gate open this way - and abandoned the idea. But this lever still remains - more for curiosity.

It corresponds to
the hairpin puzzle, if I'm not mistaken.
It's frobbed when you turn the lever opening the doormat.

There's no use visiting the garden - it's nothing valuable there.
