Well, I completed the mission last night! I do believe this is one of the toughest fan missions I've played.
My only major criticisms are that I didn't care for the maze-like brick tunnel network, and there were too many keys. I also thought that <span style="background-color:#000080"><font color="#202080">the Horn of Quintus should have been more visible within the transdimensional cube</font></span>. Anyway, this mission seems to me more like a puzzle/adventure game than typical Thief fare. Whether that's a good thing or not is a matter of taste, I reckon, but it was a fairly impressive effort overall, and fun to play through a second time sneaker-style. Andrea Aleotti is clearly a talented fellow and I hope he makes more missions for us! <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> <small>

I got all the loot and the horn of Quintus but can't open the gate for the hand of glory. I tried the sunburst device but it didn't work. Also there another iron gate with a bunch of buttons, and the scroll says just pull the lever. Can't find the lever. Any hints please.

I have good news for you, NoCokePepsi! Andrea has a Thief 2 mission already started and is hoping to have it out in 4 or 5 months. I agree that it will be one to look forward to. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I suffered from the thief gold rope bug all the way through the mission, after I got the horn of quintus I spent half a hour trying to climb a rope to escape from that area. <img src="graemlins/wot.gif" border="0" alt="[Wot?]" />

Yes, I had problems with the ropes in this one too, belboz. I was stuck in the same place for quite awhile before I managed to get out.

Grab the Hand, and run out quick. You have to time it right. Or maybe the field doesn't hurt you at all.</font></div></blockquote> Hope that helps.

stauf,<br />i cant even get to the field around the hand of glory! there is a door made of iron bars in my way that i cant open. how did you open it? maybe i am missing a key.

Face the barred door, then turn around and walk right back into that little corner that's almost directly across from it. If you look at the floor here, you'll see a pressure plate. Just stand on it and it will open the little metal door and you can flip a switch. <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> </font></div></blockquote>

Ahh! Finally finished it. After 3 hours and 50 minutes. Hehe! Only got 3294 out of 5018 loot though. Gonna have to play it again.<br />I never did get into that one generator room next to the room with the 2 generators that you push the buttons to get the gates open. In a post above, someone mentioned a key off one of the guards from that area, but I thought I got those 2 keys and none of them worked. All through the game each time I got a new key, I went back to try it on that door, but no luck. I can see there's an electrical panel with levers on it from the window. Just can't figure out how to get in there.
