I wonder if anyone remembres that one...
Anyway, past Mr. Chuz's bedroom there's metal door. It's unpickable and none of the keys I found works on it. Is there a way to open it?
Also, where is the woman in the water and how come I haven't found her? o_O
Somehow I'd missed this one, and just played it thanks to your post...
Past that metal door is a wooden door that eventually leads to the woman in the water. The key is where she is, and it opens the metal door from the other side.

Thanks, I got it :D
What a sweet, little mission it was. A bit rough at times and forcing me to use blackjack more than I'd like to, but very fun and with really nice atmosphere. It's a shame nobody makes missions like that anymore.

I was inspired to replay it, since obviously my notes were incomplete. I betatested it but it was 10 years ago and I really remembered very little about it and I didn't have any saves in the final area on Expert. It was still fun to play! :)

I agree. Mr Chuz is still fun to play. :) There is more of a story here than in azrarhn's other enjoyable TG mission, A Meeting with Cutty. The mansion in Mr Chuz is also larger.
Finished on Normal in 32 minutes with 1940 of 3152 total loot. The ending was a bit abrupt. The mission completion cutscene appeared immediately after I grabbed the book of magic. I reloaded to see if there was more in the area: one passage blocked off by a boulder. I tried blowing it up with the two mines I had, but that did not work.
If azrarhn was still working on Thief fan missions today, I would suggest two improvements to her: One, some rooms in Mr Chuz are just a box with furniture in it. Areas feel more believable and engaging if these rooms have a proper ceiling and the monotony of flat surfaces in 90° angles is broken. Two, there is a journal of a noble who got lured into the mansion. He apparently was attacked while he was in his guest room. His journal literally ends with "Huh? What? NOOO..." This is ridiculous. Nobody contines writing a stream of consciousness log into their journal while they are attacked.
