There is no second floor, I think you'll find Dront used the american floor numbering system (ie. ground floor = first floor, first floor = second floor).
As to how to find the basement you'll find the the entrance to Walter's shelter is an elevator,
there's a button hidden in the shadows just on your left as you come in from the front door. Where is the
front door please? There is a tall arch (without doors) that connects a grassy external area to a hall which has a large double cone structure with a flame on top, and also has a counter with a serving woman behind it. Is that the place you mean? If not, where do I need to go?

Finished The Jewelled Sword in 1 hour and 3 minutes. Got 3657 of the 3822 total loot available on Normal difficulty.
Tip:
* Keep one rope arrow with you at all times. It makes one part of the mission easier to traverse.
Likes:
* Something I noticed in other Dront missions as well: ambient sounds in almost all rooms and quite a bit of variety of them in each mission.
* The corridor in which an evil breathing is used as ambient sound was quite atmospheric.
* The jumps over the chasm in the Burrick tunnels were a nice challenge. Took me a couple of attempts.
* Like in other Dront missions, journals provide useful hints on where important keys and items are.
Dislikes:
* I got used to Dront's minimalist architectural style now. Still, everything in this mission feels much too large. I was bunnyhopping to save time whenever there weren't any guards nearby.
* Gameplay in this mission felt repetitive. It was almost only large rooms with a few guards patrolling in predictable patterns and hardly any shadows to hide in. It became one of the missions in which I did not care about being seen. Because my engagement level was low, I focused on finishing my objectives as fast as possible, killing guards in my way if I had to.
* The strobe lights in the basement were a strain on my eyes. I wanted to leave that area as soon as possible.
* Like in other Dront missions, ambient light levels are not set. There are a few rooms where I could not see anything. Nearly missed two chests with some loot and moss arrows hidden in pitch-black rooms to the side of a large ramp.
* The bug beast guarding the chest with the storage key was standing in a corner and staring at a wall. That is Lord Fevler's special protection against theft of his antiques collection? Was this a joke?
* Not every door needs to be locked. Picking all these doors became tiresome.
Bugs:
* In the room with the clockwork eye, paintings on the wall disappeared when viewed from certain angles. I had this issue in other missions as well.
* There are a chalice and a golden bottle under a large rock in the north of the map. I could not reach both of them. In the mansion, I found a mine. Maybe an explosion can be used to propel them to a spot where the player can reach it.

To The Meeting was a tough one. I am used to endless corridors with lots of doors in Dront missions, but I was not prepared for the labyrinthine upper floors. The mansion in this mission is gigantic! At one point I spent almost a full minute swimming in one direction through a water tunnel.
Finished in 1 hour and 15 minutes of gametime on Normal. I skipped many rooms on ground floor and therefore ended up with the low amount of 2065 of 3426 total loot. I needed one hint from this thread on how to get to the fourth floor: I had failed to see the door in the ceiling of the rotated room on the third floor.

I dropped this one right when I got into the mansion in mission 1. The city is pretty bare and spacious even though there´s not much to do. Alot of things don´t make any sense and are more of a joke than anything, like that woman and the guy with the thief voice being trapped behind a wall, a dead ape above the huge rock and loot being under it. You are highlighted in normal shadows and only hidden in them when they are super dark, like you can´t even see anything. The mansion itself is the same: too many lights, too many tiled floors, but not enough equipment and you can barely see anything with those dark shadows in the basement.
