on Beginner!
I never did get into the upper room of building One, and when I frobbed the lever for, I presume, building Two, that did nothing to open that place either.
I started to get as frustrated with as, say, a Haddur mission presents, but the beauty of this mission is that it was one overlooked detail
HUGE SPOILER
Freeing the woman from the jail
that let me wrap up 15 minutes later.
Excellent job, Zontik! Who knew TDP/G's Dromed could be taken as far as you took it?

BRIEFING
You have found the Golden Book of Keepers. You've drown it's last page from the space between the past and the present. But while you were travelling in times, the future have changed. You returned to the world where ancient clan of Builders took power over the City. They used artifact called "The Eternal Candle" to rise strenght of their power. The prophecy on the last page of the Golden Book told you: beware...
Difficulty level info: Beginner/Hotshot/Insane
WARNING: If you choose Insane, you will play without blackjack. If you choose Beginner, you will miss some puzzles.
NOTES
To stacking crates maniacs: there are only 2 crates in the whole level. You will need one of them. Use the second crate on your own risk. You will not see any nice view using it.
Don't throw items from you inventory if you are not sure what are you doing and why. All your gear may be used, and it must be used wise.

Well I have been roaming around forever picking up crumbs and finding lots of lockpick proof oak doors. Is would seem that the locksmiths shop is a good place to start. How do I get in ? Go ahead, spoil away. I wanna get this gig started. Thanks ;)
Also I just found a metal door in kind of an alcove by a post lamp and two barrels in the area right of the dark side. When I pick the lock handle it makes the lock pick sound but it sounds like a loop and it just wont open. Did the auther do this to mess with us or does it just take a real real long time to pick? I saw Bikers similar question but I did not see an answer. I'll check again.
OK..I am looking for the 500 the key guy wants but I still want to know about that door. Maybe it is semi-versitile.
Edit: Well, what do ya know :)
Zontik on 21/6/2007 at 05:57
10Brooklyn01, concerning buildings #1 & #2: the switch opens hatch in #2, so you will be able to get there via sewer. The second way to #2 is from the balcony - you need rope arrow to get that balcony via rooftops.
Lightningline, don't curse me - this door is a kind of joke. You WILL be able to open it with semi-versatile key.
To all players: if you really stuck and nobody gives you an answer, just write me e-mail. I can forget to check old forgotten threads with no any reply in a months, but I always check my post box.

I'm going back in on Hotshot - no way am I going in without a blackjack!
Now that I know what I'm doing, I have to beat my time of nearly 7 hours!
Zontik on 22/6/2007 at 05:20
Dont'worry - you won't miss something interesting on Hotshot. The general difference between Hotshot and Insane is playing style. No extra areas, no extra puzzles. But forget your Beginner's expierence playing on Hotshot - some things are VERY different.

I have done much includeing ending the master builders life but I'm having a hard time getting into 3 places downtown and 2 in the burbs.
I am playing on easy so all I did was knock on his door, lay a gas mine about 2 feet in front of his door then threw his knocked out ass in the water. If you throw the mine to close to the door he will pass out before opening his door and you cant get to him, sleeping isn't dead I found out.
Downown
1) In the MBs mansion on the right side , downstairs there is a locked wooden door in a room with 2 beds. I take it there is an innnocent in there because I tried to bash it open and must have killed the guy because I herd a crunch and got a failed skull.
2) The hotel...any hints?
3) I guess it is a church. It is by the water and across from an alley that has access to the sewers and two guards, an archer and a swordsman.
Suburbs
1)I was also never able to open the door by the main gate either on the right hand side facing downtown..
2)The chaple..the doors are frobable but no key or anything will open them.
Lightningline on 24/6/2007 at 18:55
Well I finally got it done. I only got in the Chaple and the Cathedral though. I still couldn't get in the other 3 places. Nice Mission.

TO UNKNOWN PLAYER: somebody sent me a message by email, and I've deleted it BY MISTAKE with the big pile of spam (without even reading it). Please sorry! Send me your message again, I promise to be more careful.
Lightningline, here are hints to your doors.
Downtown:
1) This door isn't opening on Beginner. Nothing to see there.
2) You can enter hotel only via vent shaft. Check understairs space in the Clock Tower. And don't worry about your way back.
Suburbs:
1) This building is opening from the other side. You can get inside via post office.
