I haven't offered any opinion on what I think of taxes or any party affiliation. Funny how it didn't take long for you to assume that you know who you're talking to. How about you take it easy tiger?
I know exactly who I'm talking to
"Look at who voted for Obama: low-income, uneducated voters. Maybe you can draw your own conclusions as to why 93% of African-Americans voted for Obama, but it's just racism in action."
"I think I want to be the minority! That way I can whine, cry, and get free money from all "the evil rich folks" while the country is flushed down the toilet but idiots who don't understand how to make money in the first place."
"Poor people take government assistance. They actually don't work or make money FYI."
An ignoramus for one thing.
"Don't you think it makes me a little mad to see unemployed, lazy, un-educated crazy people voting to spend more of my hard-earned money? "
A crank who is, at best, anti democracy.
"Some ignorant slobs don't know how to manage their personal finances or don't feel like working, hence the need for government programs. "
Back to ignoramus I think.
Hey, we all enjoy a good rant now and then. But based on that, none of this stuff that informs your opinion really reflects reality (I may not know exactly what those things are, but I'm confident you couldn't actually hold them in good faith otherwise. That is if you're as smart and diligent as you think you are).
Your 'lazy people voting for handouts' stuff is a bunch of crap. Anyone will tell you the difference is fairly marginal overall. You might actually know something about the vast and terrifying government interference that has apparently sprung up under Obama. Why not tell us about that, since you have no understanding of social...well, anything by the sounds.
In any case I think it's a fair assumption that you would prefer the other ticket over the incumbent, even if it's far from your ideal (I end up voting Labor, even thought they're fairly disappointing to me). I only hope your scorn for the poor ignorant voters of Obama's policies that are going to hurt you was spread evenly toward the poor ignorant voters of Bush's policies that probably hurt you too. I doubt it was quite a vocal.

Watching CC and blaydes in this thread is like watching two gay men beating off to lesbian porn. And about as productive.

The myth of the efficient private sector doesn't come from any measurement of efficiency, rather a presumption that the private sector naturally strives for efficiency because that's a good way to stay competitive. There's a process there. The problem is that this ignores other motivations to be efficient - accountability, empathy, pride etc etc etc and also that it ignores the fact that, even in the private sector, more often than not people make decisions based on what other people are doing, not on what would be most efficient.
There's also another influence on the private sector that a lot of people overlook. As illustrated in 2008, a lot of corporate leadership is focused on short term personal gain at the expense of long term efficiency, stablity, and profit.

the “international community” (that’s neocon for: Europeans) passively accept or even cheer for violence, aggression and executive power abuses when ordered by a sophisticated, urbane, Constitutional Law Professor with Good Progressivism in his heart, and only cause a messy ruckus when done by an icky, religious, overtly nationalistic Republican.
What the fuck? This guy emerged from the same paranoia pod as you, CCCT?

That's a bit of a straw man, I'll admit, but watching all of this happen in a country which can pay to take care of its people is just aggravating. How can you be patriotic if you can't look after your own people?
BECAUSE GOD BLESS MURCA YOU COMMUNIST THAT'S WHY

I just don't get where this "fuck everyone who isn't successful" mindset came from. It's straight up sociopathic.

Boy, we sure have a lot of psychologists posting in this thread don't we?
Wrong choice of words faetal. If someone is actually trying to improve their situation, I think they deserve assistance. If they do nothing and sit back for years because they can coast on government assistance, this I have a problem with.

Ironic that many of you "so-called experts" on the U.S. don't even live here. It's offensive and repugnant. You won't see me telling you about your own country, and as such, anything you have to say about my country when you don't even reside here is complete rubbish.
